    x% in wages can cause an increase in [payroll] costs greather than x% due to employer contributions and other fringe benefits that migth depend on the wages, such as christmas bonuses being a % of yout yearly wages.

    Thank you for making this clear, but I was not really trying to make a point. The way you responded to the OP's sig made me think you were not familiar with the issue, so I just brought to your attention (or anybody else who might be interested) some links mentioning what I thought was the reason why the OP wrote that in his sig.

    Interesting read, nevertheless.

    And as for your sig... you think that those that hold a different view from you should be "BANNED"? Kinda goes against the whole "free exchange of ideas" thing doesn't it? How many tyrannical dictators gained power by people who felt the same way you do about people they disagreed with?

    How about 3Mb/s for the first 68MB, 500kb/s next 68MB, and 128kb/s after that, on a daily basis, instead of monthly?

    About 5 months ago here in Puerto Rico I checked with Sprint, AT&T, and Virgin and they all wanted $60+ for just 5GB. I did not bother asking what would happen after reaching this cap, because I switched to another company (Claro, a Mexican company) that has the following plans, among others:

    $40 - 5GiB, $0.0073 additional MiB
    $50 - 10GiB, $0.0073 additional MiB
    $55 - unlimited (never used more than about 14GiB, tho).

    How about calling it "invoice" instead of "fine"?

    As in the medical insurance example, you would pay the full medical bill instead of copay/coinsurance if you don't have medical insurance.

    How is that different from feeding some disgusting old lard-arse who could never get a real meal because you need the money?

    A friend of mine once told me that she was asked to take care of elderly people, she would need to feed them, clean their (you know what), etc, and was expected to do all this for even less than the federal minimum.

    May be we really should be outlawing those jobs too?

    (Hint - guys, she's DOESN'T like you.)

    * So that's why some (granted, *very* few, but the number is still non-zero) of them stop whatever they are doing and jump to me to hug me and kiss me the very moment I step in the establishment.

    * One of them asked me to take her home, and then wanted to do me, *no* charge. She even at one point danced for me, knowing that I already had run out of money, and just threw a napkin to her pile of cash, so to make the other patrons believe that I tipped her.

    Some of them actually enjoy "serving" some of their *paying* customers, and some times, well, they have to eat and pay their bills, so they *have* to ask their customers for money, no matter how much they like them.
