I think the methods of butchering are pretty similar, and the big difference is probably that the kosher meat is blessed/overseen by a rabbi and the halal meat is blessed/overseen by an imam? I don't know for sure though.

Who cares what you run on it, if it's the least expensive option on the market with quality parts? Personally, I wouldn't run Windows on it, but I wouldn't mind if people did.

Also, don't forget that all mac users aren't the same (as all windows or unix users aren't).

Actually, Det Danske Sprog- og Litteraturselskab used Chinese contractors to scan and transcribe Ordbog over det Danske Sprog (a 28 volume dictionary of the Danish language spanning vocabulary from 1700 - 1950). As such, it contains several non-latin characters, but the end result is very well-formed and readable.

I'm wondering how they will go about using bittorrent and DRM at the same time, effectively. Bittorrent's strength lies in many people having the exact same file, so if the DRM is added post-download, it would be trivial to intercept the data before the lockdown and use it as such. If the DRM is added before the download, I am having difficulties seeing how BT can be used to any significant advantage.

Encapsulating the movie in an encrypted executable that phones home for authorization? Ugh.

I don't want to start a holy war here, but what is the deal with you Mac fanatics? I've been trying to walk from my freelance gig at the Apple headquarters (1 Infinite Loop ) for about 20 minutes now while the my feet attempts to take 17 steps from one block on the road to another block. 20 minutes. At Redmond, on 1 Microsoft Way, which by all standards should be a lot slower than this road, the same walk would take about 2 minutes. If that. In addition, during this walk, my brain will not work. And everything else has ground to a halt. Even that car over there is straining to keep up as I type this. I won't bore you with the laundry list of other problems that I've encountered while walking around various Mac company campusses, but suffice it to say there have been many, not the least of which is I've never taken a walk that was faster than it's Wintel counterpart, despite the more modern architecture. My walk on 1 Microsoft Way are faster than this 1 Infinite Loop at times. From a productivity standpoint, I don't get how people can claim that a walk here is superior. Mac addicts, flame me if you'd like, but I'd rather hear some intelligent reasons why anyone would choose to walk here over other faster, cheaper, more stable places.
