    I like popups. At this point you think I'm nuts. If a site has hacked around my browsers pop-up blocking, then that is a great indicator that I don't want to be at that site! let alone give them information such as my email address. Most sites don't do this kind of thing, and the ones that do are sites you probably shouldn't be at.

    I thought they fixed this already. Wasn't there a new build released like 12 hours after the fact, that fixed this problem? I disabled the IDN support and then installed the new build, and it was re-enabled.

    In a recient "leaked memo" published in Wired magazine, Linus was talking to Gates about a project called Winx, where the Windows desktop and standard GUI were ported over to Linux. If Linux where to take over a large part of the Desktop market, do you think microsoft would ever consider such a tactic?

    It's compatibilty retards! I don't understand why Linux fanboys just can't understand I don't want to program and compile my own drivers for some un-supported uncommon hardware. Let alone configure and recompile the core libaries or kernal or whatever else I need. I don't have the time, or the know, how or the patience. Hardware comes with WINDOWS drivers not LINUX drivers.. WHY DOESN'T ANYONE UNDERSTAND THIS?

    The S2885 They talk about is unstable.

    I know I am running it. It has alot of problems with the AGP. Alot of games crash it. Not very compatable with RAM. (check their website to find "authorized" ram models) the drivers that were supposed to fix this made it worse. They don't even uninstall cleanly! Their BIOS is Still in beta! This motherboard was released years ago. There is no excuse for this, it's a $500 motherboard

    Do you Applaud? I remember at Bush Gardens, an attraction that featured robotic birds singing and such. The most appaling part was that there was supposed to be audience particiaption (clapping along) applose at the end. Gawd i felt embarasment for everyone there. Am I the only one who isnt' impressed by their "performance?" It's a recording! Don't clap!

    I think a better claim would be "backwards compatibilty is a huge thing to avoid at MS" considering that almost no new functionality has been added to word in the past 10 years and yet the document format has changed.

    That is a troll.
    The main source of word's backward incompatibilty lies with all the new useless features. There are new features! They just arn't very helpfull unless you are Microsoft, trying to get customers to upgrade. But Microsoft documents aren't even forward comatible. Reciently, I tried opening a docuement from '92 and Word wanted me to install an extention to read it! I didn't have the disk close by so I didn't bother installing an extention I would only use once.
