Today, a dirty bomb is much more effective than it would have been in '45. The effectiveness of a dirty bomb is not in the number of people it kills, but in the terror and uncertanty it instills in the populace. It is used to make people think that their government can't protect them from the bad guys.
If one was used in NYC today, it would be noticed right away and millions of people would panic and try to rush out of the city. If used in '45, no one would have noticed and things would have gone along fine. Years later there would have been a spike in birth defect and cancer.
If your wife is analyzing apache and sendmail logs, she is not doing the "normal user experiance" thing.
You need to realize that most people in the real world have a hard time with the fucking start button in windows, let alone starting up a terminal and editing config files or grepping logs or trying to get the sound to work.
Why is sharing a moral obligation? People share different morals in this country and shouldn't be required to live "under" someone elses morals.
This is different than the rule of law. Just because someone morals say that killing isn't wrong doesn't make it so, because the rule of law says it is. When it comes to "sharing", there is no law regarding this (that I know of), and there shouldn't be. If I want to be a shelfish bastard, I should have every right to do so in the USofA.
lol, yea that sounded good too. Actuall, gummy beer came from the episode where he went to the Duff brewery for a tour. The had little gummie beers on the counter int he tasting room.
A customer brought in a machine with their software (which they bought from said company). The Office 97 disk was a nice CD-R with one of those printable CD labels claiming it was "Microsoft Office 97". We heard of a few other previous customers that had the same thing happen with their copy of office and windows.
According to our OEM license, a customer can purchase XP as long as they purchase a piece of hardware that is necessary to make the computer run (or something to that effect).
We usually just sell 'em a power cord with their copy of XP.
Nope, it was because of IJ The Temple of Doom that the PG-13 was crated (that and Gremlins). The first movie released with a PG-13 rating was Red Dawn.
That has to be the coolest damn website I've seen in years.
Will this myth ever die???
Here is the truth.
Apparently so did you.
Probably has nothing to do with the fact it was an AP story does it....

I thought it was all about masturbation or something....oh wait, that's kittens. Why does God kill puppies?
Sorry, I've never seen a photo of Mimas before.
Does that look like the Death Star to anyone else??
In order to fake a photo for evidence in a patent suit of course.

Slashdot....the only place where you can learn ALL the euphemisms for masturbation.
As stated above, a power cord is non-peripheral. You can't boot your pc with out it.

Oh FFS, if a kid starts smoking because of this article, lets hope he smokes 10 packs a day and dies of lung cancer before he can reproduce.
I want Gummie Beer!
We had a computer company in our town doing that.
