Yep, the next rover is going to have a dust cleaning device - astronauts.
You see, the problem with astronauts is that spending extended periods of time in space exposes their bodies to high levels of radiation. According to OSHA guidelines, an astronaut is not to remain in space for more than 18 months per 4 year period.
Because a round trip to mars takes 21 months, the next rover will not be deployed with any dust cleaning device.
the GPS is actually a qualcomm GPSone. From my understanding, it's not as good as a SIRF STARIII, but more than good enough for navigation.
Secondly, the official supported SDHC capacity is low b/c that's all they had available on the market at time of release, and thus couldn't test with a higher cap. I have, however, seen forum posts about people using 8gig cards in this phone.

As for music, I have a 2 gig micro sd card (You need more than 2 gig b/c typ nav prog and maps run 1-1.5 gig) and have it loaded up with phil hendrie (I love ted's of beverly hills steak house) and some music. Helped me get through many 70 hour weeks in the office. Use BTaudio to toggle audio redirection to the bluetooth headset if you don't have something that does a2dp.
Built in GPS great. You don't plan on getting lost, you just do. Having a GPS always in your pocket has saved me many times.
I noticed 10 god points the other night too. Guess we're either special or new/. policy to give 10 god points instead of 5 due to the fact that half the time my god points go unused.
I think it's still set overly sensitive. I've had the detectors go off on me when I've emptied all coins/keys from my pockets but still have my wallet on me. And My wallet only has cash, old receipts and plastic cards - with the exception of a half dollar my grandma gave me (it's a sentimental thing).
Instead of sending DVDs home, why not just send memory cards? They are smaller and you don't need a CD/DVD write drive. Just a memory card reader to write your data to.
I did a little searching. I believe the "flex fuel" ones are normal compression (9.0-11.0) compression. The fuel system is modified to work with either straight gas to E85. There are some vehicles that are E85 only, and those have a higher compression ratio 12:1.
I looked over the fleabay posting and can't find the VIN for the car. If someone found it could you PLEASE reply to this so I can do a quick carfax report?
Thanks Grump
PS Does anyone have a carfax account to run the check for me?
Well, a large chain store I enjoy going to is harbor fright tools. Large selection with very reasonable prices and decent quality for the price. I mean, alot of tools I buy are only used once or twice (Security torx bits?).
That's why I ran my RFID card through a paper shredder and just call someone to open the door for me whenever I need to get in. If nobody is in the lab, I get security to let me in then. So much more secure!
Yes, they may charge you 2 bucks for the headphones, but they are "yours to keep". I think it's reasonable then. However, their 5 dollar sandwiches and 2 dollar bottles of water are a wee bit too much.
They opted to not install panel wipers because of the added mechanical complexity, weight, possible damage in transport to mars, and that they didn't know how Martian dust would behave to the wipers. Grump
When I was in college, I took an environmental law class. The guy teaching it used to work county public health or whatnot and had a few good stories.
One of the stories was to show how judges are sometimes in the position to interpret laws and regulations that are outside their scope of knowledge. One story goes that a case was about dumping of hazardous waste. The waste wasn't specifically listed as hazardous, but there are other procedures to test the compound's toxicity - such as exposing a certain species of fish to the compound for X days and seeing how they are doing at the end. If the fish are dead, then it's pretty obvious that the compound is toxic.
In this case, the fish toxicity testing data was presented to the judge and it went something as follows: Judge: And do we have any of these fish in our county? Answer: No, we don't have any of these fish in our county. Judge: Then what do we have to worry about?
Yea, the Insight was great. the lowest I ever got driving around was ~40mpg in the city. I believe they went auto trans only due to the large majority of the population unable/unwilling to drive a stick and that hurt sales. Oh well. Had a hybrid as an early adopter. Memories are better than reality anyway.
As for Toyota, it's never felt right - feels like a slipping clutch. They have plans to implement gear-like behavior into the hybrid drivetrain for the upcoming supra...with paddle shifters. We'll see how that goes.
agreed. I had a stick hybrid. and IF I ever buy another hybrid, it's gonna be a stick again. Any car I get into that's not a stick never feels quite right.
(Then I get stuck in traffic in a stick and wish I had an auto. But 5 minutes in an auto will set me right.)
Someone give this guy a VPN.

I must warn you though, many users are royally 3.14ssed about the video performance due to "missing drivers". see http://htcclassaction.org/ and http://slashdot.org/firehose.pl?op=view&id=469774&from=badge for more info.

Varying the compression ratio is doable.

I'd recommend a mix between PocketIE and opera. PocketIE does better on some pages, while Opera is better with others.
There are some PIE modifications out there that add tabs and such. Sorry that I can't give any names/links as I haven't used them in about 2 years.

No, the squirrels were trained in the sacred art of telepathy and thus the Iranians didn't find any transceivers in the squirrels.

I believe the issue is with import to sell, not importing the phone for your personal use in business/vacation (and bringing it back home with you).

whoever pays the bill for the 800 number pays for the call. If you call from a payphone, they pay a payphone surcharge to the phone owner too.
