a 15 year old couldn't buy gta or any m rated game for that matter. go try it they wont sell it to you. heck i rember when i was 16 and wanted to buy gta for the psx back when it was only 2d i got denied. and that was 11 years ago. even if you go to some retailer like walmart when they scan a m rated they have to scan your id in order for them to sell it to you. we need no new laws the ones we had 11 years ago still work. now if there mom or a guy in the age limits buy the games for him there is no laws you an make to stop that at least nothing you could possibly enforce.
that's just greedy company's not wanting to spend money.. traffic shaping lets them make big promises on bandwidth without actually delivering. if there forced to expand there network that would make jobs not lose them. but this bill would not even be needed if they force cable company and tel co to open there lines for more company's to compete so if you where with unhappy with one companys policy you could just go to a competer. in my area im lucky to have 3 isp providers and i go with the best one that has no such shady policy's.
floppy makers did try to upgrade them to keep up with new advances. like the 128mb super floppy drive. and even zip drives had a short run. but when cdr came out they just couldn't compete with a more reliable media. now where up to bdr that hold pretty much the same as a hard disk per disk. floppys still had there place in the office and school but with wifi becomeing common and sd cards being smaller and holding alot more media and lasting longer floppy's lost all there usefulness.
people dont just stair where they wanna go. we are tought from the very start or driving to pay attention to everything. and its a important lesson. stuff you can do on a test track and real world driving are way different. we have to be constantly looking for stupid drivers who cut us off turn in front of us and otherwise make driving a challenge we do most of are lifes. auto driving systems might work on a freeway but defently not one that uses your eyes and no system will work in city driving. but lets face it when we are on cruse controle on a freeway all we are doing is keeping the car in its lane. and a driver with lack of sleep the task is aruldy to simple and people fall asleep driving. imagine you having to do no task with a full auto drive we will have far more sleeping driver realted accdents. if they ever do come up with a system that works they better still include manual control. maybe just use the same simple feature cruse controle does where tapping the brake disengages it so if you do have to make a quick stop thers no problem. i would be more worryed of people depending on it to much rather then preferring driving the car on there own.
as long as you can override the setting if need be i dont see the problem. i think alot of people don't understand what they are targeting. people tend to be jerks when power company's put out a warning saying reduce your usage or else service may be interrupted. most ignore it and well we have blackouts. if some jerk has left there ac on wile hes not home whats wrong with them shutting it off untill he comes home and pushes the override. the issue i see hear is it only would effect centrel air systems and not the real power hungry units the window units. everyone knows central air is way more efficient then those units but many cant afford or dont have the setup for central air.

i helped with the open driver for ati on the 7000 chipset due the fact it was unstable and crashed in 3d modes. so i have been in that part you say 99.9% dont have anything to do with. but i agree if it works and nivida drivers normally do then dont complain who it comes from. if this was abought them dropping linux support all together then i would complain. ther main reasion there killing off the nv driver is its unstable slow and otherwise crappy in most cases people have to use vesa modes anyways and install the driver from nivida due to the fact the nv driver failes to work at all. also the nevue driver coming up is a new open driver thats alot better and supports all modes 3d cuda etc. i think this artical failes to metion the reasion there droping it is due the fact there is a better open driver right around the corner, they just dont officially support it but to be as good as it is they defently help on its making.
nivida is not drooping linux support i think you guys are getting confused. what they are doing is drooping support for the community driver. in other words they are not going to support 2 diffrent linux drivers anymore. as for your laptop comment ati is working on external cards fr laptops a feature they call xgp. so in the next few years your consern of not being able to upgrade the video are going to change. but i agree if you buy a laptop make shure you buy one with a qualty card or you will regret it later unless you dont buy it for gaming wich most laptop owners do.
no ati provided crap drivers for linux. and in most cases the open driver worked better. when amd bought ati this has been inproving alot on the linux side. the open driver for older chipsets is fast as hell. and there closed driver is pretty close to nividas these days. and as for intels drivers they are utter crap there 3d modes are dirt slow in linux slower then the worst ati drivers. nivida still has the best linux drivers but with amd running things at ati now its getting better.
i found it largely depends on the phone its self. my nexttell barly works in my house wile my buddy with a new model gets 3 bars easy. you can try one of those boosters that goes inside your phones battery comparment.

as a driver of course i have all kinda of situations of something failing on my car being its a old car. the key to any bad situation is not to panic. these would be the same drivers that hit other cars if there brake failed rather then quickly applying the ebrake. the system there wanting to put in cars the smart peddle does the same thing shutting off the car yourself would do. trust me i was going down i-75 in my car and a brake line blew being my car is a single cylinder brake system i lost all braking power and had to pull the ebrake locking the rear tires did i crash no. of course my cars sensors all work and both my abs and brake light lit up right away telling me there was a major problem. i dunno abought other drivers sometimes even if you car all of a suddion whent to full power for no reasion thers always that off button stoping that chain of events dead. weather toyotas cars have a real issue or not driver skill still is the reasion people died. drivers tend to panic hen there put in a bad spot and bad things happon. im not blaming them but any good driver should knoe what to do in case of a runaway or failer of the brake system. but in the usa you dont not need to knoe these things to get a liance to drive.
what can i say my isp windstream works at the speeds they say it works at. i think alot of people confuse isp wording of speed. if they say your line is 3 mbs you get abought 300 kb down. a 10mbs line from comcast is 1 mag down. i also got a pretty wicked upload speed for a dsl line 80kb up. ditching cable for windstream dsl was the best thing i ever did. and the rates are half of what cable is for the same speed in my area. but windstream is one of the few fre good honest isp providers in the usa. no stupid limits or speed caps when using something like bittorrent. also i got free unlimites usenet acess something cable isps got rid of.
