when they released the beta to arm flash they also released a beta of sun spark flash. i know where your coming from it wasn't until this year did they say there going to make flash run on everything.
let company's like comcast keep running out of control. they are aruldy losing there subscribers in mass to competing isps and satlite providers.what does that mean for people that are stuck with comcast you guess it even higher rates for throttled lower quality internet. i know people will start the dsl is slower fight but faster does not mean better if you cant use it for anything other then email. and that's what comcast whants and without the fcc stepping in that's what they will get. and by time joe user catches on to this it will be to late. i relly encourage voters to contact there congress and express there disagreement with them stoping the fcc.from forcing these isps to be fair. the fcc should also appeal and go back to court over that ruling that hurt there move badly.
they are making flash for non-x86 due out first on android devices this year. they also desperately wanted to get it on the iphone they even built a version under apples rules and apple still refused. so arm flash will be hear very soon. they also have power-pc flash been around for a good wile but they have abandon it due to the death of power-pc. and arm being widly used is a recent thing with android and iphones and now arm netbooks. before how many people relly had a arm based pc it wasn't very many. mostly dev machines.

agreed i switched to dish and there support it awesome i also get dsl threw windstream. im saving over 50$ a month compared when i had cable and my phone threw other providers without internet. the dish never goes out unless its really storming outside where talking tornado warned cells but at that time i have my weather radio on anyways. and the cable would go out in the same systems anyways but for much longer. it went out one time in a heavy ice storm once but was back up whiten a hr. when i called them in the ice storm being it was the first heavy snow that ever knocked out the dish they where willing to send a tech the same morning to see if it was iced over. try getting that kind of support from cable. its the same story with my dsl provider the tech support is amarcan not some guy in India. if i need support im on the line with a real person normally instantly.
the open Pandora is meant as a gaming umpc not a hand held. it can run a psx emu for the guy who said it cant. they where going to use the atom prosser but found the arm cortex to give them a much better battery life why then can get 10 hrs. and the cortex is a pretty fast prosser on its own. the powervr they are using does have oss drivers.the entire platform is oss. this umpc runs a full blown linux distro desined for it with touch screen support. so its a pocket sized pc that can game not a ds. its specks i will admit are kinda dated being it took them 2 years to get it out the door. but its still a full fledged pocket pc with gaming abiltys.

they destroyed windows in the server world. its a different ballgame in the desktop world being the avg joe cares less what hes running as long as it does everything he whats it to do. if you have him a linux box he would use it until it didn't do something he wanted it to do or didn't run his favorite app/game. and thats where the problem lies. wile in 90% of the cases linux has its own style of the app he whats its not the one he wanted. and well for games thats due to devs glued to directx rather then using opengl.

speech software has been evolving at a steady pace. but the issue isn't that its the fact 90% of the users out there don't use it. if you live in a loud place with kids or other noise it will not work well. windows 7 has built in speech software and how many people use it. i played with the latest dragon speech software and i gotta admit its very good even without traning it. i did emails with it without any issue. but as i said speech software is more a toy then anything usefull. as people said it probly will have a good use on a cell phone rather then on a pc being it would be a easy way to chat rather then using the cell phones keypad. .
well r rated movies do not stop the scanner and say scan id. but if you toss a m rated game threw the scanner it will come on the screen scan id. so a sales guy cant miss it they cant complete the sale otherwise. most dont warn if they see they are buying for there kid just ask for the id. of course even then thats a pretty good hint this is ment for adults. maybe the store you shop has dated scanners when they did there upgrade that system was added.
the worst isp tv provider is hughesnet. but i guess they don't have enough subscribers to generate the hate comcast has. comcast does indeed suck but they are not thee worst. hughesnet makes big clams with there satellite service but all you get is overpriced heavy capped slow internet. i guess most people aruldy know there a scam and avoid them.
it is public now that it is 250gb a month but they hid that for years. it wasn't until people took them to curt did they admit they had such a cap. they old line used to be the top 2% of heavy users witch made no sense being someone would always be in that 2%.
well the only thing the sales guy can do is inform mommy this is a m rated game. if mommy doesn't care then there is no reason to deny the sale. as long as the person buying the game meets the age regs. and trust me having worked in sales i can tell you i think i only had 1 instance where my warning had any effect. 99% of the time they simply do not care. but im not one to believe in blocking life to kids anyways.
