Secondly, the US does censor the internet what with the power to take a website down with warrants AND it was made public recently of military software that pretends to be an internet user, using this to manipulate online discussion forums. I think it's even worse than China, at least with China you know where you stand.

The link doesn't explain why the San Andreas fault can't have a 9.0 magnitude earthquake. Can anybody please explain what makes this fault line so special or immune to such devastation? I'm of the belief anything is possible. Especially when I have my Snake Plissken eye patch ready for some over the top action sequences.
90% of the world don't buy PC's. Business buy in bulk for employees. Parents buy for kids. Those two examples exclude your line of reasoning where people prefer to use a PC. A lot of people just use what's available.
