"The result : Sega is now dead as a console manufacturer, Nintendo is no longer leading the market, and only Sony can really stand up against Microsoft."
SEGA was in trouble long before the Xbox came to market. Remember the Master System? The Game Gear? Saturn? All failures dating as far back as the mid 80s. Also, the Dreamcast was discontinued before the Xbox went on sale. Microsoft had nothing to do with SEGA's death.
"In a lawsuit filed last year, Google alleges that Auctions Expert used hired hands and automation to generate high numbers of ad clicks that resulted in $50,000 in revenues."
A real con artist would use 1000 monkeys with 1000 typewriters instead of hiring people (professional ad clickers?). More effective that way.
As Homer Simpsons said, "What's everyone so worked up about? So there's a comet, big deal. It'll burn up in our atmosphere and what's ever left will be no bigger than a Chihuahua's head."
Oh wait, that's a comet he's talking about, not an asteroid. WE'RE DOOMED!!!

I won't argue with that. If someone has his/her Windows installation hosed on a monthly basis, an OS change may be in order. Or at least a good "how to keep your computer secure" lesson.
"I get a little tired of Windows users saying "Linux is hard to use" when what they really mean is "It doesn't work like the system I know how to use and I'm too damn lazy to learn another", conveniently forgeting how long it took them to learn Windows in the first place."
Why should thay have to learn an entirely new system? If someone's been using Windows for many years and they like it, why should they switch? That's the exact reason I don't want a Mac. I've been using PCs for years and I'm very comfortable with them. No reason to replace it with Apple hardware.
If you want your friends to give Linux a try, why not show them the benefits of Linux instead of calling them "foolish" and other names? No wonder non-technical people think Linux sealots are jerks.

Designing pages for one particular Web browser is a bad idea, especially for a browser that has a relatively small market share (sure, Firefox is gaining popularity, but IE still has the majority of market share). Locking out users is unprofessional and bad for business.
Hybrids get excellent fuel mileage for city commuting, but during highway travelling, their mileage is equivalent, if not worst, than a diesel econo car (eg. Volkswagen Golf TDI).
Toyota hybrids actually acheive their best mileage during stop-and-go driving (contrary to conventional cars) because the gas engine isn't always running.

I was unable to see the Gmail link despite refreshing Firefox 20+ times (even when identified as IE6 SP2), but I immediately saw the link when using IE6 SP1. Strange coincidence?
I remember reading about that recently. I found the article:0 .html

You want to give people a hand?
"People should be allowed to use technology to watch movies "their way" in their own home, he said."
It would be nice if they would apply a similar that would apply to music. Keep DRM and other restrictions out of movies and music!

I hate to reply to my own post, but I misspelled zealots. :-)

Nancy Cartwright's book is also a must-read for any Simpsons fan.
How could they omit the female human breast?
Longhorn is only a code name. XP was called "Whistler" during development.

At least their cars have amusing names. :-)
I like the approach this site uses. IE user see a "get Firefox" button, for for Firefox users, the image is replaced with "welcome, Firefox user!".

This is arguably the most pirated game.

Other life forms are on their way to Earth. It's just taking a really long time. Their damn Yugo spaceships can barely break the speed of light. :-(
They instruments were installed correctly on Earth. It's the Martians that switched them as a prank. :-)
