SeaMonkey 1.5 will be the next release. As per MozillaWiki:
The current working title for a release from that work is "SeaMonkey 1.5" (subject to change) with a release expected in 2007. (This work takes place on "Mozilla trunk".)
They'res also AutoPatcher for offline patch installation, and it includes add-ons (such as Sun Java 6, TweakUI and the.Net framework).
They'res also Microsoft's Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer which will scan your computer and notify you of missing security updates, and direct links to download them.
My IE7 Program File directory is 2.57MB, but since installing it required two reboots, I imagine that additional files are scattered all over the place.
A couple of months ago, I did some quick testing to see which browser uses the most RAM. I checked the RAM usage right after starting the browser with a blank page, and again after opening a total of 3 tabs (of course, YMMV):
Mozilla Firefox 2.0 (default theme, no extensions) blank page: 20MB 3 open tabs: 31MB
Mozilla Firefox trunk build (default theme, no extensions) blank page: 20MB 3 open tabs: 30MB
Mozilla SeaMonkey 1.1A blank page: 17MB 3 open tabs: 28MB
K-Meleon 1.02 blank page: 15MB 3 open tabs: 24MB
Internet Explorer 6.0SP2 blank page: 11MB
Internet Explorer 7.0 blank page: 17MB 3 open tabs: 35MB
Availability of alternatives. If you have a copy of TurboTax or AutoCAD and want to use it, you need a copy of Windows installed on your computer.
How is it Microsoft's fault that software developers are not interested in porting their software to other platforms? Blame the makers of TurboTax and AutoCAD, not Microsoft.
I've experienced the same bad luck with power supplies. I have yet to experience a hard drive failure (I'm currently using drives from Maxtor, Hitachi, Seagate, Western Digital and Samsung; I have a 5GB Maxtor manufactured in 1997 that still works fine), but it's a different story with power supplies. I've seen about a half dozen fry in the past couple years; the computer I'm using now, built in October 2005, is on its third one.
I've been lucky to never have had to replace a hard drive. I've always been able to remove them and install them in newly-built boxes to store pr0n.
Why should they have to learn what JavaScript and gigabyte mean?
If your mechanic told you your car needed new tie rods, the OBDII reader detected code P1443, you should install tires with a wear rating of 600 and the engine's woodruff key is worn out, would you understand what he's telling you? Confusing jargon is not unique to the IT industry.

Cadillac first tried that over 20 years ago with poor results (Wikipedia article). GM trucks now have this (now much-improved) technology, as well as Chrysler's Hemi, as someone else posted earlier.
Reminds me when I emailed my bank thanking them for supporting Firefox on their online banking Website. They replied saying "We don't support Firefox, and we recommend that you use IE6 or Netscape 6+ instead."
*sigh*
Whoever replied to me apparently never saw "Gecko" in Netscape's UA string.
It doesn't seem like a big deal, but his comments can be taken out of context, which can lead to an ugly situation. Just look at the recent KDE VS. Apple bullshit. What started as a minor criticism exploded into a bash fest. The last thing the open-source community needs is a war between its developers.

You can install two Mozilla browsers on the same computer (even two versions of Firefox), as long as they use separate profiles.
I have yet to try the final build of NS8, but I did try the beta and it co-existed peacefully with Firefox. If I remember correctly, NS8 stores its profile in \Application Data\Netscape\, and Firefox stores its profile in \Application Data\Mozilla.

Enter about:config in the address bar and look for an option called "image.animation_mode"... change its value to "none."
