Should we call for inspection and disassembly of all the voting machine code to see if it contains any of these secret vote tampering functions he was asked to include in his prototype?"
This infuriates me for a different reason - the lack of vision of law-makers. I cant believe voting machines are not force to have open source code. I said personally many moons ago this would happen and...
Its the only way to defraud fake conspiracy theories and protect peoples voting rights. People desserve to know exactly how their vote is being processed. Is mankind that stupid. Do we want revolutions and rebellions because people are too stupid to make voting (a fairly important task to be fair..pff) transparent, honest, whatever you want to call it..
OMG - hello. I expect everyone in/. agree when I say:
One of the reasons we use Firefox is because it blocks pop-up ADDS. So why would a firefox user go and proactively click on adds after going to all that troubl??? Sheesh, go figure...
Yes, but still we all know the real point to this story. By contributing something for free you are part of something very special. For someday we will all be contributing everything for free and then we will say:
"Gee, why do we bother charging money for things if everything is free?"
Why can't we all be less cynical and just look at the real issue. Its wonderful that science can enable the paralysed to walk again, but Are we playing god. I dont think so personally. I think there are much worse things in the world that we are prepared to do, so how can we be against this without changing everything. Isnt it true that there is so much medical science today that is ethically questionable?
Patrick if you're listening. I use Slackware for everything - it has the hallmarks of an OS that is for humans (people) as opposed to drones. It has that human touch. Thats a legacy you can be proud off if all on its own. Just the simple fact that every time I open up a terminal, there is a quirky quote of some kind which can be humerous to outrageous to serious but always interesting. Get well soon..
1. Speed (users are impatient) 2. Ease of use (Users are stupid) 3. Warm colours (colors for Americans!) 4. Functionality (yes amazingly..) 5. Security?
Thats what occurred to me at any rate. I guess these are people that avoided computers generally but like to have portable music (they probably just see the i-pod as the in thing) They might associate the MAC also as the in thing and want one - if they are prepared to fork out the $$$ for one.
This is the first Java exploit I have ever heard of, and it was patched long ago..(in virus terms) Java IS still the best choice in terms of security for me.
Yes, why not turn movies into comics. Oh wait...then you would have scripts!
So, a comic is a movie script, or is a movie script a comic. Should we invent an intermediate language like Java that addresses the need for a relationship between comic, script and movie.
Ah, I have it, comic - a script for special effects driven movies.. or, special effeects, CGI driven movies - why not just buy a comic??..
How can he say FF is not a threat if he hasn't even downloaded and installed it?
Marketing, thats how. IE can beat FF the same way DOS beat its superior rival. They have the ability to kickstart a new secure browser with a massive campaign. Also, there is an association with Mozilla Netscape's demise, they can use to fight dirty..

Yes, this is great news. It's fitting that it should happen in the switch/hub etc..market also where Cisco really are so dominant.
I thought it would be onger before something like this would happen.
Just imagine - all open source servers could be possible - all we need now is an OS processor. Do they exist??
And not 8086 or something bare bones like that...
Next. Open Source hydrogen powered cars!!!

The best art is he gets to be called Czar.
I would have though hell would freeze over before a Republican government would give anyone such a title!!

Ha, I use IE.
The best part is when I launch it and watch as my hard disk is formatted - magic!
Lets see your precious Firefox do that!!
except I way prefer J2EE / JBoss / Jakarta etc to PHP anyday......
This is the news from some guy with a filefront account, so take it with a grain of salt.
Good thing that was added in..

Windfarms may alter climate but they do not lead to global warming. Plus they can be produce zero emissions when used properly.
picturing a bunch of fat American kids sick in the hopspital after losing at San Andreas...
Its amazing that they dont see the irony 'bulletinadvance.mspx'
bullet in advance -hehe
Ì wonder is it some kind of long distance plan to encourage people to migrate to XP, and later Longhorn, saying things like:
..
'Look how much more vulnerable an older OS is'
'Linux people pff, they haven't got the guts to publish their vulnerabilities, thwey have none...'
