... because Google didn't build Firefox. Firefox developers just know it's the best search engine for the job.
So how can you use that as an example?
Because of Microsoft's anti-trust problem they should have to provide the user with a choice, even if Google is not listed, just to show that they are not trying to monopolize the search engine business.
I played with OSC a long time ago and I walked away wishing I had those 2 weeks back. Recently I have been asked to play with it again and it's still not fun. I administer Better Bike Parts, Inc. http://www.betterbikeparts.com/ and it is a HUGE headache meeting customer needs. The code is almost impossible to understand.
Go with something like X-Cart. The $200 will be well worth it.
He is saying that OpenOffice.org USED to be Open Office. But they had to change FROM Open Office TO OpenOffice.org to avoid trouble from the people are WERE Open Office.
The FBI can't protect us from terrorist so they have become the right hand of the RIAA, MPAA.
Can we try and work out some of our more important problems before we worry about the checking account balance of RIAA, MPAA officials.
Jesus Fucking Christ...
They would group like channels in non-associated groups.
For example they would have ESPN, History channel, Fox news as package 1. Then have ESPN2, fox sports net, and CNN as package 2. They would force you to buy more packages then make even more money!
I am sure he finally got someone who knew what they were talking about to explain the whole deal with MS/SCO/IBM/RHAT/NOVELL. He then realized he had payed money for something that was useless and will never see a single cent of it again.
Yeah but you eventually have to upgrade your PC regardless. When your movies, spreadsheets, office apps and everything else slow down, you upgrade. It just so happens that it helps the performance of you games too.
No consoles seem to have a shorter all around life for what they provide.
"I realize the last negotiations are not as much fun, but Microsoft will have brough in $86 million for us including Baystar. The next deal we should be able to get from $16-20, but it will be brutial as it is for go to makerket work and some licences. I know we can do this , if everyone stays on board and still wants to do a deal. I just want to get this deal and move away from corp dev and out into the marketing andfield dollars....In this market we can get $3-5 million in incremental deals and not have to go through the gauntlet which will get tougher next week with the SR VP's."
and even more:
"We should line up some small acquisitions here to jump start this if we do it. We shoudl also do this ASAP. Microsoft also indicated there was a lot more money out there and they would clearly rather use Baystar "like" entities to help us get signifigantly more money if we want to grow further or do acquisitions"
People don't listen until people start dieing.
They need to understand, that you do NOT walk into another mans house without first talking to his gun.
F*cking RIAA/MPAA
As soon as you put "crackers" in a headline, 90% of the population will think it's a racist attack on white men. We know what it means, but "they" don't.

You made good points and I tend to agree with you more after reading this post.

Less product, less functionality = console
We've already spent hundreds or even thousands on our PC's for gaming. No need to HAVE to buy a console either.
IRC, ICQ, Voice Comms, email, website's, they all help the PC be a more complete package for gaming (see The CPL).
PC's rule in my book.

I resent that.
I love to golf, although I spend more time killing grass than actually hitting the balls.
