There is still ice in Greenland over 2.5 km thick, but yes it's about 150000 yrs old at the base.

That's simply not true, there are ice cores from Greenland dated to ~150000 yrs ago from about 2.5 km deep. There might have been some ice-free areas, but the whole island was definately not ice-free.

It's still smart for Ireland. They get 10% as opposed to nothing. I don't think they intend to deprive other countries of their taxes, they are just hoping that more companies will set up there. It's the tax loopholes of the other contries that allows them to transfer funds out, thus reducing the taxes owed. Really it's these loopholes that should be closed, which is entirely from the laws of other contries, not Ireland's.

does anyone else think this is sad that Moz is bringing up how many downloads it lost to this "glitch". It's like saying we totally depend on Microsoft to make our browser popular. Otherwise we have no chance against IE or Chrome. Oh wait...

I posted this last time as well, but down in TFA there is a quote saying that in Europe IE downloads also decreased during that time, but Chrome downloads increased. So to me it seems that people are just prefering Chrome these days, and the ballot really makes no difference.

They're not interpolating two data points. Have you looked at the charts? There's clearly a strong drop off around the time where the ballot was removed, and a big re-uptake when it was reinstated.

Yes, but in the article it also states stats from another company show: "In Europe across that time, Firefox and IE both appear to be falling together, suggesting Chrome is the one benefiting from the lack of browser ballot."

One thing I don't understand tho, this is just SP1, so it's an update to Win7, meaning whatever browsers they have installed will still be there after the update anyway, and there's no need to download again. Is it that they are only looking at full Windows installs where the OS already has SP1 ? I don't know if Win7 comes like that, or if it does how they can be separated from updates.
