Aren't our Bill of Rights freedoms intended to protect our inalienable rights of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness? I propose a Constitutional amendment to explicitly state that Bill of Rights freedoms are unwaivable.
The problem with your argument is that the southerners were right.
The problem with your argument is that I didn't really make an argument. =P

It should respect the constitutions of its member nations. The UN should not have the ability to override, veto, or limit decisions or rights made or granted by their sovereign member states.
The U.S. should respect the constitutions of its member nations. The federal government should not have the ability to override, veto, or limit decisions or rights made or granted by their soverign member states.
-Southern worldview pre-Civil War...
Also, by then the people could potentially engineer a socialist or semisocialist revolution and take the routers/hardware/governing bodies out of the hands of the corporations and piss all over such rulings...
Can't we just write something to do a binary AND of the part of the broadcast containing the flag with a bit pattern containing 0s in the "right" places? Say that the flag was the third bit of the first byte of every frame, then you just AND it with 1101111 and hey! no more flag!
The airwaves belong to the FCC, not YOU
They're PUBLIC airwaves; the FCC is supposed to manage them for the public good. Of course, these days you can replace "public" in just about any government agency's original purpose with "corporate" and find the agency's current purpose.
Also compare with the excellent voice acting in Halo. I will concede that the lip synch looks a bit awkward, but how often do you really have time to run up to whoever's talking and watch his mouth in the middle of a firefight?
Private networks are the way to swap music, throw a lan party, set up a wireless, or even run cable down the hall. When all else fails get yourself a portable or a hand full of DVD-RW's/CD-RW's and walk it over to a friends house. There are plenty of ways of sharing data that RIAA can't track/stop.
Hear, hear! Sneakernet is the wave of the future, but I advocate USB flash drives instead because they don't get scratched up and they take less time to read/write. Also, they're really cool ^_^
folks actually bought Xboxes
We "Xbox morons" (thank you for spelling it correctly, btw) like console gaming better than PC gaming, period. I declare this silly debate dead. (yup, this will work ^_^)
To the kid who spoke out against this idiocy, my congratulations. (Too bad I can't find your contact info easily) Now let's just hope there are more of us out there...
right before release? I know they make CVS available free, or used to...surely someone's got it frozen @ 3.2.

This isn't exactly a new concept.
Fwiw, the book form of The Two Towers is RATHER boring, coming from an overall fan of the trilogy...

Why pay 99 cents when you could get all-you-can-play-forever ROMs for free?
I resented the suggestion that all true geeks know X.
FWIW, true geeks use the command line, not X! =P

For those not familiar with roguelikes, the acronym means, "Lrg Nabgure Fghcvq Qrngu."
You know, some of us aren't familiar with ROT13 EITHER...=P
In the US, nobody has to live here!
Until we reinstate the draft, anyway...
That password doesn't appear to be working...=(
Why would Gates be saying bye to Windows? O_o
Uh, the scary part is that the government might actually PAY the license money cuz, well, they're the government.
Evidence shows that Linux is more stable
I'm sure they'll be hearing from Commander Gates about that one shortly...
