And yet, here you go spewing hatred instead of any kind of logical discussion. I'll sit back with my bowl of popcorn to enjoy the hypocrisy if you don't mind.
In the meantime, the TMT will be a huge win for science (imagine that...a right winger here who likes science...it must be the Apocalypse!!!). I'm too lazy to read the article right now, but I'm wondering if there's anything that can be done to mitigate the concerns of the locals, or is it just a nonstarter for them?
No problem. If you broke the law, he needs to pay the price, and that's that. While I lean conservative, I'm I'm not going to stand up for someone just because of that similar belief. Just like this HHS secretary needs to pay back his travel expenses, and be fired, and possibly more.
I appreciate your answer. It was enlightening, not because I was trying to weasel out of anything, but because I didn't know, which is why I asked the question.
That's a bit like saying that Chrysler is Italian because they're owned by Fiat. Or, German when Mercedes owned them previously. It's much more about where they're designed and produced rather than ownership.
"When they state a band new approach, they may just mean an incremental improvement solving some inefficiency in the process. "
I'd argue that all they're doing is good marketing with crap inside of pretty packaging. They've become trendy, and high priced because people want to show off their fancy expensive Dyson. Not because their products are better...at all.
While the methane is an issue, there is plenty of research showing that grazing improves the soil, reduces drought, and is an net reduction to climate change. I can't find it at the moment, but recall seeing experiments done in Africa and Texas...and this wasn't some beef industry propaganda. Now I'm going to have to go find the sources again.
Just turning up to meet the lawyer was illegal, whether they had any information or not. It doesn't matter what happened at the meeting or afterwards - the very act of trying to get the information instead of reporting the offer is illegal. That's it. That's the only piece the wall of text needed to include, and it's damning.
I don't know how you see a Russian-government paid lawyer trying to give information on an opponent in an election as not a foreign country intervening in said election.
Can you please cite what law that breaks?
And one more question...had it been an American citizen would it have been legal? I'm asking because campaigns put a lot of effort into digging up dirt, so I'm wondering why it matters what the source of that dirt is.
FWIW, I'm a Cold War vet, I'm very much against any Russian interference. And let's remember that their goal is to divide us, and it appears to be working.
As someone on the right who agrees with you, I'm wondering if you're not falling into the same trap they want us all to drop into. Look at the huge number of ACs here and all most of them are doing is partisan name calling. I, for one, will continue to ignore the ACs.
And let's add that we're gaining hours during our productive years, and when we can most enjoy them by sleeping less. I doubt I'll care as much when I'm not able to run, jump, cycle, swim, etc. For over 40 yrs., I've typically slept less than 5 hrs per night. Now, about to turn 59, I can't do some of the things I used to...the knees just aren't what they used to be...running, climbing, etc. And neither is the pecker...what used to be all nighters are now one and done. I won't give a shit if I can live to 100 when I'm no longer able to enjoy it.
You're assigned a certain amount of awake time at birth, but sleep deprivation means you reduce that waking time bit by bit.
I've had chrono-reassignment surgery. I've always felt like an immortal, but baby, I wasn't born that way. I'm now able to live longer by sleeping less.
Thank goodness, although I still write software all day, my title is now "Director" rather than "Engineer
Titles are a dime a dozen. I've been in management for fifteen years, but I'm still a software engineer, and so are you, even if you're not in that role anymore. It's a shame you "find it belittling", but that's on you.
If they had it, they could easily use it. The fact that they're not using it kinda points towards them not having it.
How do you know they're not? Also, having a weapon doesn't mean you need to use it immediately. Especially if it's one that you'll only get a chance or two to use. Just like when Enigma was broken...how many folks knew, certainly not the public. And, every caution was taken to make sure that the enemy didn't know that it was broken.
My experience was similar, though I only put in an effort in subjects that interested me, so I graduated with just above a C average. I always scored high on standardized tests, and got As in what I enjoyed. It wasn't until my first semester in college that I realized that I was paying for this shit, so I should put forth some effort...I think it was a simple lack of maturity, but my attitude toward learning other things changed around that time.
That one, and my favorite from her was when I got spanked, and she found out it I wasn't guilty...
"That's for the time you didn't get caught"
That came after my mom woke me in the middle of the night to beat my ass after stepping in some dog shit on the way to the outhouse (small cottage in Ontario, CN), and thought I had don it. The noise woke Grandma, who came out and said, "that's dogshit", followed by the line above. Adults didn't apologize to kids back in my day. Thankfully, Grandma made the best homemade donuts, and as I got older, I realized that she tried to make it up to me in other ways.
So, while we can look back and say they were doing it wrong, Grandma raised six successful children, who raised seventeen successful children of their own...okay, there is one black sheep, but he's not terrible.
I know. We'll call it "Playboy."
Don't be sexist, give the ladies something too.

Sure there's a market for street sweepers!
"In reality, all successful innovation depends on blind luck."
The inventor of the light bulb begs to differ... "Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration."
How many filaments did he try before he got one that worked? Was that blind luck?... possibly, if you think he didn't believe he would find one.

Living is about how much you do, not how long it takes.
Is that how you explain it to your girl friend when you're too quick?
24 != 25...got it.
Parent = pedantic jackass...ditto

Love him or hate him, Ronnie's "trust, but verify" is the right thing to do.
"Republicans are all for a religious police state"
You might want to exit your echo chamber and actually talk to some before stating opinions that are clearly bullshit.
It's really the tin-foil-hat crowd portion f the right that believes the government is out to get them, and it's not a big portion.
So, that said, if it were passed, would the left agree to requiring ID to vote? Seems like a possibility for compromise.
Well worth the viewing. These two have a series of great little songs, including one with Weird Al.

"We are talking about something that would IMMEDIATELY make you rich "
Doesn't that assume that the value of BITCOINS wouldn't immediately go to zero? Wouldn't they?
Love it, but I have no mod points.
