This is different than the evening news? I'm all for sex over violence and a happy world but honestly the stuff that happens in that description is up nightly on TV. My friend down in AU says he watched 28 days/weeks later, so how is this any different?

While it is annoying to have 500 different versions of ____ summer movie theme represented in toy form, the best trick that lego has going for it is that you can usually rip it down and change it into something else when you are bored of it. LEGO recognizes that their product can still fit in with the imaginationland scheme while still appealing to a current market trend, so why not?

Shorter then any hollywood film I've seen, and it moved me more then any film I've ever seen. The launch probably cost the same. If this isn't proof of the results a small percentage of our bomb making taxes can provide, I don't think you're a sane person.

While I don't own an xbox 360 yet (too expensive, holding out for the wii-sonably priced nintendo), I did mess around with one at best buy recently and was impressed how far the UI has come since the first generation. It's good to see some user concerns being addressed, but really what's the problem with letting people play online while downloading? I'm sure XBL caps out your bandwith and that could cause some lag, but couldn't they just implement a cap to the download speed? With a broadband connection, gaming and downloading at the same time isn't far fetched.

  11. Think outside the box. on Why There Are No Hit Indie Games · · Score: 0, Troll

Well one of the problems is across the whole industry, lack of imagination. Stop using comic book characters, record some talented local voice actors, distribute through secure bittorrent, etc.. Want free marketing? Get your game /.ed as the next big indy hit. Or try sending promotional copies and news to every gaming site you see. Don't complain about the system when there are ways to get around it, that just require some effort and imagination instead of whining for big bucks.

Why would you want to only have 3 levels of the best racing game for the price of a horrible movie. Wouldn't it just be wiser to purchase the racing game? If they were thinking that maybe someone who kind of wanted to see the movie would then be thrown over the edge with the inclusion of 3 levels of a game, I think they were dead wrong. Most people would just wait for it to get on tv, get a torrent (I mean... legally), or rent it. I don't know about you guys, but it seems to me like they are trying to sell someone a bottle of 80% water and 20% rum thinking people will want the water more.

I don't know about you but I fail to see any violations. This is in place to prevent the sales of M+ video games to minors. It's the same as restricting them in R rated movies. If a kid really wants a violent video game then I guess they are just going to have to prove to their parents they are mature enough to have it and the parents will buy it for them. 22. Client "Back-patchers" to blaim. on EQ Emulator Winter's Roar Shut Down · · Score: 4, Informative

I've been developing with the EQEMu project since the ancension from AGX. So far the only time a c&d has been issued was if a server provided a back patch for users to play on their server.

A backpatch was essentially the older version of the game's client and dll files which would allow it to run on the emulated server. These files however were copyrighted material, which usually would give SoE basis for a C&D.

The project was previously C&Ded when it obtained the planes of power expansion early and the files were provided on the sourceforge page, but other then that there have been little to no legal issues.

This wasn't so much as sony being the evil empire, but the fact that you can pretty much dl the game for free then use the provided files off the emulated server's webpage to patch it to a time where it is compatible with the emulated server, this was the problem.

The client updates have pretty much been the single largest setbacks to the project (besides internal developer fights).
