Jeez I've been listening to this for 20 years. IT workers resist unionization. Why? I don't know but I suspect it has something to do with believing that each of you is more capable and special than anyone else. Even in companies like IBM who in the early 90's laid off a quarter million people, still, the remaining workers resist unionization.
They are a little on the high end, cost wise for consumer boxes but they are very reliable, the firmware actually works WELL, they support NTFS and their network interfaces function up to spec. And they support Mac.
They make units from 1 bay SATA up to 4 bay 1U hot swappable dual 1Gb dual power supply rackmounts.
Or it feels like it. I think it's GOT to be something approaching 50%. Every 4 minutes there's a 4 minute commercial break. It's unwatchable.
SciFi network is just as bad, so is TBS. Comedy Central is getting to that point. When they start running interludes DURING a stream of commercials to remind you what channel you're on, because you probably zoned out around commercial #20, it's all going in the crapper, isn't it?
Why? Because most buyers don't know what's good or bad about either of them. And they probably don't care. They should, but they don't. And if you tried to explain it to them they'd glaze over in 15 seconds and tell you it doesn't matter either way. The sad fact is that most buyers are happily stupid and if their PC doesn't work at all 50% of the time, or worse, it crashes completely and won't function at all, a goodly number of them would take weeks if not months to get it corrected.
Today with USB 2.0 you can get adapters that are "USB 2.0" and yet get only a tiny fraction of the spec's throughput. The basic problem with the USB spec is that there's no provision for ensuring that meeting the spec is achieved or even meaningful.
They will reserve SSD's for only the most high end of PCs and laptops and then market them as 'extreme' or 'ultralight' and bump the price 2 or 3x times the bottom rung of corresponding devices. It's all about margin. And SSDs will NEVER be retail priced below regular drives until manufacturers decide to stop building regular drives.
A C+ level of skill and competence is all we should expect from anyone. And no one in a position of leadership cares as long as you get the crap out the door more or less on time and reasonably close to budget. Beyond that, it really doesn't matter. So lose them all and send the work to Russia or India or China or Brazil.
We're not a science country anymore. More Americans believe that Jesus rode his dinosaur to church with Adam and Eve than believe in cellular chemistry. So let's just end this farce once and for all.
So if you turn off the PC and then the next day when Lucy the Secretary comes into work and there's something wrong, it's your fault and she's the assistant to the senior vp of dicking around so it's too damn important for her to be w/o her PC for 5 seconds and you should get fired you nerd geek asshole.
Better that companies waste money than spend all their time and effort looking for someone to hang.
If those monkeys don't like it, then they shouldn't do it to their families. They used to have fire, but the inventory died. Go live in Nigeria where Polio is making a big big comeback,
China is the #2 source of spam and crap, after.RU (Russia) domain. Higher even than Slovenia.
For all the complaints about the Great Firewall of China, I believe we need a Great Firewall FROM China. I call for blocking most if not all unauthenticated traffic from.CN
Pretending the RIAA can respond rationally is a waste of time and effort. I'm afraid that even in our modern society it is time, it's really time to apply brute force on these people. Maybe it's silly to pick out this one arena but there you have it. I think that the RIAA should be singled out for acts of terrorism against them. I think the RIAA should be targeted for killing. All they represent is fascism with a friendly face.
Yes it is extreme but that's what it will take. Sorry if you feel the need to moderate the fuck out of this. It is truly what I believe.
It's ALMOST there but not quite. They have killed all the bugs in Eclipse yet. Symphony can't handle embedded objects in PPT files right. It's a little clunky still. Also Notes 8 while it looks cooler than 7 is still pretty damn fragile. It crashes a lot more than older versions. It's also rather slower.

Climbers die on the way down. It's more dangerous, you're more fatigued and your guard is down. You also tend to ignore clear signs of physical harm.

You're talking cost. I'm talking price. Big big difference.
Clay tablets? Carving into marble?
Because she couldn't contact help. Then Nancy Grace's nuclear uterus will erupt with estro-fury.

Nah we're heading back in that direction. We've always had retards. But now we elevate them to positions of power BECAUSE they're retards.

The soccermommies and the Islamotards can all get together and criminalize freedom itself. For the children, for Allah...we will kill you to save you.
$500/month? A thousand?
To be corrected or destroyed.
They're screwing with people's survival. They're no different than a criminal gang.

Avira, Bitdefender, Avast and others have free and fee versions. What are the material differences?
Then they will send peacekeepers to the Asteroid and tell them to make sure to record all the genocides there.
