I can only assume that the application expects a still picure camera to feed it still pictures and have some glitches in support for the limited video features of these cameras.
This makes the glich a little less important.
Considering I can't even get video from my still camera to work correctly in Windows...
No, I'm not talking about enacting more laws, I mean having the government declare a "war on spammers", where DDoS attacks are used against them by the military in a digital carpet-bombing campaign.
That would take care of the whiny limp-wristed liberals crying "slippery slope" and "no better than them", and it would satisfy the bloodlust of the neocons. We could even hold spammers indefinitely in military prison camps by labelling them "enemy combatants".
No it wouldn't, it would make us "limp-wristed liberals" complain even more because now the Govt. is going down the slope.
And by the way, if my wrist is limp that is because I know that you can deliver more force with a fluid movement.
Mr. Jobs addressed the issue of video on iPods when asked by Mike Wendland of the Detroit Free Press whether or not Apple was looking to add features to the iPod. "We want it to make toast," replied Mr. Jobs. "We're toying with refrigeration, too."
While intended to get a laugh, which it did, Mr. Jobs also offered a more substantive answer as to why Apple had heretofore not added too many features to the iPod. "One of the things we say around Apple, and I paraphrase Bill Clinton from the 1992 presidential race, is 'It's about the music, stupid.'"
Mr. Jobs says that there is a big difference between the way people listen to music and other activities like watching videos. Specifically, he said, you can listen to music in the background, while movies require that you actually watch them. "You can't watch a video and drive a car," he said. "We're focused on music."
Tacoma isn't exactly the bible-belt, so if there were going to be challenges to the programming content they most likely would have occured there, than in the heart of the south.
What can you do, it's the closest we can cet this side of the mountains.
Dude, the bill passed at 62%. I am sorry you disagree but the majority of the people there obviously feel differently. In the age when presidents win by like 1% the message is pretty clear.
The government is the biggest, baddest monopoly of all. It's also an insidious one because there is no direct correlation between its fees (taxes) and its expenditures.
There is no direct correlation in business either. The price for products and services are set by what the market will bear, not what it costs to make.
A (semi)-respected publisher puts out a book on how to shirk actual work?
Unfortunately the book's pages are blank because the author was applying the tactics when he was supposedly writing the book (and the editor the same, otherwise he would have noticed).
Are you talking about the book, or Slashdot? Oh wait, you said semi-respected.
If you correct the unemployment numbers to reflect the unusually large proportion of our population in prison or jail we have about the same rate as the rest of the developed world (including those so-called "nanny" states).
Unfortunately when people run out of money over here they tend to end up in jail, go figure.
sadly, it only has one seed and 2 leachers and frankly, it might not be the exact same as the version that was available freely...
No, the truly sad thing is that even though this movie is now in the public domain that isohunt link is probably still illegal due to its source.
Somebody is going to have to mirror the Archive.org version since they don't claim any copyright on their copy and hope they got it from the original source.
Hilarious film, a classic. It's always nice to be reminded that as long as nobody wants something it might actually make it to the public domain some day.
If you haven't seen it I definitely recommend "Ed Wood" by Tim Burton. Very funny, talks about this movie a bit.
Apple explicitly permits you to make non-DRMed backups of your music. In fact they encourage it.
But where you see DRM, I see nothing but a facade.
Maybe tinfoil hat material but did you ever wonder if iTunes DRM was intended to "manage" your rights to use a competing player more than to "manage" the copying of the files?
What you are saying is, if I have a door and the lock breaks, it is my fault if I get robbed because I did not change the lock??
The problem is with the criminal who breaks into websites. If I wanted zero security for my website, I should be allowed to have zero security and not have anyone hack in.
Ugh, I am so sick of the never-ending analogies in this friggin place! Try this non-analogous rebuttal on for size:

n.
1. The state or quality of being negligent.
2. A negligent act or a failure to act.
3. Law. Failure to exercise the degree of care considered reasonable under the circumstances, resulting in an unintended injury to another party.
I didn't see this in either of the articles or threads. Can someone tell me if non-modded ps2 owners can even run this game. It looks pretty Japanese, also are translations available?
Both of your examples involve the effort to erase the past. That either of those people put porn up and don't want people to know about it. The problem with this is that you are wandering into the realm of fact which is not supposed to be under the same constraints as a creative endevor.
While profiting off of somebodies old porn site without permission is likely immoral, is preserving what actually happened as a non-profit the same?
Do you ask how newspapers, magazines, etc. will make money in 10 years?
Of course, it doesn't take millions of dollars of specialized printing gear and infrastructure to develop a search engine.
Also, nobody would ask how "search engines" will make money in 10 years, there will always be engines. One would ask how the NYT (or Google) specifically will make money in ten years.
A significant quanity of studio time went into producing that album. I think in addition to the £1.50 you are sending to Lester you need to factor in that the Label has paid a studio for the production & mixing of the CD and was hoping for profits from CD sales to recoup that initial outlay.
This is not true for the vast majority of major labels. The money that pays for studio time is a loan from the label that the artists pays back from cd sales. Therefore, the copyright owner paid for it.
Most fansub groups try and remove their torrents when the legal version becomes available.

Didn't he just say the opposite, oh yeah.

Thats why I said sadly. It shouldn't matter, unfortunately it legally does.
Why make one, http://isohunt.com/download.php?mode=bt&id=4612267 there already is one ;)

However, I think Firefox will hit a stumbling block when it comes to the edge of "business workstation" browser territory.
I don't know, "Work Offline" comes in pretty handy in my office hehe.
I'm at:
IE 50%
Firefox 36.4%
I only get a couple thousand uniqe IPs a month and 16% of my traffic is from here so make of that what you will.

In a statement issued by CEO Daryl Whats-his-face,
We're on to you buddy, this is obviously obfuscation designed to hide your copyright infringement of the name McBride!
Was posted yesterday the link can be found here

Thats a pretty good one, my favorite was this one from the CNN news ticker:
"Public split on whether Bush is a divider."
VWOOOOOOOOOOOOSH!
...that's what I heard when your comment went over my head.
Clarify just means "to make clear". With beer you are basically settling out any sediments in the liquid.
Despite all this I can't help but laugh.
Like usual all of a sudden I want to get my hands on a copy of this game I have been putting off buying for months...

I can just see the personal ad now: Go on a date with me, win an ipod.
I wonder if you have to complete a certain amount of "offers".
