What L-N has cannot be bought. Most of what they have that makes them so valuable is not on the web and never was. They have farms of people entering print-only stories/articles/etc.
I've been thinking about what Google could do with all that IPO cash and BUYING and integrating Lexis-Nexis is about the most sensible use of those funds.
Most of the other tech businesses out there own processes - processes that Google has a track record of being able to imitate and improve on. (Huh. Sounds like another company we know?)
But L-N owns a tremendous asset in it's news/legal database and the two companies would have tremendous synergies.
Tried this and it brought my machine to a stand-still - even after turning off the sound and high res. Really poorly developed for a seemingly simply game concept. I don't remember the original Bejewled having this much difficulty running.

Actually, this game lasts a hell of a lot longer than 5 hours. Yes, the single player for the original took me about 20 hours on legendary. HOWEVER, I probably played many many times that amount in multiplayer amount with flatmates and family members over holidays. And since the sequel has Live, that will be even more.
I owned about 35 games before I sold it all and I probably played Halo more than all the other games combined. I am probably going to buy a new Xbox just for Halo2 (and the new DDR game).

The problem with your reasoning is how often other games have had huge launches but gotten poor reviews and subsequently did not do so well in sales. I think the latest Driver game falls into that catagory. And how can anyone forget Diketana?

The reviewer didn't seem to clue in on the new AI of the enemy. Also, if you play enough to review a game, what makes you think your estimate of how long it takes to finish on one difficulty setting will approximate how long an 'average player' will take.

You are asking us to read real reviews and then give your own review of the original as a 'mediocre first person shooter?' I trust the published stuff over an AC anyday.
And if you really want some player reviews, see here.

When all of these sources start giving it the highest or nearly highest scores possible, it does make you think that this is the real deal.
And yes, you clown who is about to hit reply and rant about marketing guys twisting arms of magazine editors who live from their adverts, that might be part of it but I doubt that could have infected all of the reviewers out there.
Anyway, that is really fascinating. Can you document it? Andisn't there already enough trash up there to cause this already? And if it was done, wouldn't it pretty much end nearly all space travel be ended forever - or at least a very long time.
fyi - these are not gmail invites. Do not view them.
More important than the actor is the director

Atrophe seems to have affected people's memory - The Superman movies were mostly bad according to the collective ratings at IMDB. Forget my personal opinion that they were all bad other than Superman 3 (where he took on the Leatherboy Association).
Even more importantly, the reason that Superman movies were not made for so long was how badly the last one did at the box office.
The Xmen movies, however, were very well acclaimed and made a fortune, so a director who knows what he is doing is far more important than whichever guy puts on the tights.
What you have effectively done was create a new Church where you get to decide who is 'Christian' or not according to your standard. Hence the difficulty with 'book' centered religiouns. Books are open to interpretation. A living, breathing organization is not.
The better standard is this: "Christian" is a self-designated label. If you decide you are one and claim to be one, then you are one. You may not have thought Christ divine, you may not belong to any organized Church, you may have different ideas than other Christians and think Mohammed is a real prophet - but if you 'claim' to be a Christian, you are one. There is no central authority. Just like Republicans who support Kerry or Democrats who are pro-life.
Catholics, on the otherhand, are part of a centrally defined organization and you must meet certain criterea established by a third party to rightfully claim to be one. Same for Mormons and possibly Southern Baptists. They have a central PERSON ON THIS EARTH who is recognized as a leader who sets the guidelines and can point to you and say "you are a Catholic" and "You are not!"
Well, nothing. Nor is eating Hot Pockets. A friend of mine recently told me about the new Hot Pocket Ultras that are low carb and high in protein that I will have to check out.
Oh - back to your story - I was just trying to paint a picture and for some reason the Skinny Puppy reference has just the right imagery and social cache for the moment.
Yeah, things will get a lot worse. I can't think of a better comparison - the WW2 fight against Nazis and you, living in your mom's basement listening to Skinny Puppy and living off of Hot Pockets, fighting against having to pay for and abide by liscencing agreements of the software you choose to use. When you're right, you're right!

Go get some common sense and understanding what theft is. I don't need some fools in black robes to tell me - do you?
Copyright infringement is theft. Just like 'grand larceny' is theft.

There is enough material there to make it's own DVD documentary on the pc strategic games bbs.
One man's flamebait another man's +5 funny.
Zoran or Mediatek version?
Walmart is selling a ProgScan DVD player for $30??? Linky?
You are confusing that with the Canadian version.
