    What its all the hype about blogs anyway, even the technical ones are shite. The real change in community on the internet was the springing up of forums, every site that was important suddenly developed forums.

    Of course the clueless tech journalists never noticed and just kept repeating their mantra about blogs.

    Its the kind of justice somethingawful would give out too. Look at their forum policies.

    Never been a member just pointing out that they are hardly blameless when it comes to draconian measures even when the people are paying.

    I think they realise sometimes you just have to cut people off.

    Still I do see the other side of the argument, personally razor works great for me - no need for things like spews really. If I go for a blacklist I will try to be careful.

    I don't know, I am tired of over zealous spam lists, network admins, strange anti-spam mechanisms.

    You were running an open relay, what do you expect.

    If they had never blocked you I take it you'd never have bothered securing your server.

    Sorry but this is down to your own incompetence. Worse, you potentially affected many internet users thanks to your lax security. Yes you claim it wasn't used for "nefarious" purposes but TBH I don't believe that coming from someone who was set up incorrectly in the first place.

    I've been running my own mail server for no more than two weeks and have checked at least twice that its not susceptible to relaying exploits and I don't have paying customers I'm responsible to.

    It takes a while to load true... I have noticed it eats my cpu but I think thats to do with the EPIC perl plugin I use rather than eclipse itself.

    Been pretty happy with it though I found optiperl to be an amazing looking perl IDE (not free in any sense though!).
