    Here is my stoned idea.
say Opera includes SVG support and can slim back down a little in download size (I remember when it would fit on a floppy of course). I just downloaded the adobe SVG plugin which was somewhere over 2 megs.

Web designers like SVG and make sites with it. Now most people wont be able to see it without a plugin.

So the website says "you need to download software to view this content", the user click ok and it installs Opera with settings defaulted to being as similar as IE as possible.

The user might never even notice, but their browser will when they are ready have lots of extra features.

Disclaimers: I would have said firebird but its considerably bigger, I remain hopefull howevere.
I realise its a dodgy method of installing, almost like adware/spyware.

One box? Windows comes with a built in database webmail client, imap server, spam and antivirus filter etc...?

I really like the luna blue theme for firebird.

Its easy to make noobs use mozilla, its what they first learn so they just take to it. If they come across a site that doesnt work in mozilla they will just think "that site is buggered", which is true and ignore it.

never underestimate what computer noobs will put up with, thats why they use IE! Place a browser with more features in front of them and they wont even notice for a while... and when they do they will appreciate the added features a progressive browser offers.

and what of IE, where is the progress - that is one stagnated piece of software. Only the many IE engine based browsers redeem it in the same way the Half life engine still has pull with its mods.

Or is there some secret skunkworks project for "Internet Explorer 2004" where they have been quietly integrating tabs, popup and cookie managerment and other such features after noticing people starting to use such features.

Chamberlain felt so guilty he gave the Sudetenland and Checkoslovakia to Hitler. His actions almost led to world domination by the Nazi's. He did so because he thought he could make peace and somehow right the wrongs the British committed. He refered to it as "Peace in Our Time". Tens of millions died as a result of his "Peace".

You say this but then say this:

Too many so called liberals want to, for example, hand over Israel just like Chamberlain handed over Checkoslovakia.

Really the parallel is the British handing over palestine to the jews to make up for feeling bad about what happened to them.
    Now...look where that got us!

Who are these liberals who want to "hand over israel" anyway, do they exist outside of your imagination? Most liberals (in your definition) just want israel to stop illegally occupying land that umpteen UN resolutions has called for.
