Does it make a difference how much the musician recieves?
I mean both parties agreed to the terms.
u cant really use that as an excuse for downloading music.
and if the musicians arent happy with what they are recieving, its the perrogative not to sign the contract and use some other channel of distribution.
and as much as it hurts me to say this, most of the ppl i no download music without owning the original cds, and i think that can be applied to many of the ppl who use these networks.
although it maybe bad business practice to do so, it is still within their right.
in order to protect the people from decietful ads and the prevent them from being misled- congress does place laws that abridge the freedom of speech...

I would much rather trust this monopoly rather than congress. One of the daunting tasks of the federal reserve is to make sure inflation doesn't go out of control-- but as a result has to initiate policies that make it harder for corporations and individuals to borrow money. If it becomes harder for corporations and individuals to borrow money, then they tend to hire fewer people. The fed has to constantly keep inflation in check while allowing the economy to grow at a decent pace-- a very difficult job. If this was left to congress to regulate, then they would not see beyond the next election, and cause the country to enter a hyperinflationary periods.
A corporation has only one job--- to server the the stock holders. Plain and simple.
now weather the stock holders want to out source or not is a different story-- If by outsourcing their non core business, they can become more effiecent and more competitive then by all means they have the right to.
Most of the time corporations find that by improving conditions for their workers and community brings better more productive workers, and might initiate programs to help them
If you are unsatisified with the conditions, unionize, but don't take that course of action alone.
Sure they don't have a right to profit, but things like milk are commodities. In every economy the price of commodities will fluctuate as a result of increasing/decreasing costs.
that still doesn't give u the right to steal milk...
thats what the books for

Well, carbon fiber is a much lighter material than steel. The momentum of the carbon fiber car, at a certain speed, would be far less than the momentum of a car made with steel.
but as with any car, they would have to design it such that the crumple zones absorm the impact--- if u do get into a car crash, it will still crumple like a sheet of paper.
The reverse is also true. If car manufacutures opened up their software for their cars, then more people would tinker around with it. This could meen improvements in speed over effiency or vice versa, to the point where the car might become extremely polluting, or unsafe to drive. Its best to leave it alone.
The american education high school education has always been pretty bad. The only thing that was keeping the US afloat for all these years were the highly educated 1st and 2nd generation immigrants.
Then the laws in the countries from which the immigrants came from began to change-- they became more liberal, and gave these people opportunities in their native countries, opportunities that they wouldn't have had 20 years ago.
as a result, the number of highly educated immigrants has waned to lower and lower numbers
the only thing that can happen is that the US needs to make high school education more rigorous...
Yeah it does mean 50,000 dollars back into the economy, as long as he saves the money in a bank.
from which point the money is loaned out and enters back into the economy
i for one, think that nasa is scared more than anything. I mean, the space shuttle blew up this past year, and it would be bad PR if another one did as well...
people have been saying that tehse shuttles are unsafe for years

Well look at the current trends in engineering, medicine in the United States. I mean, some of the most prestigious universities in the US now have a significant asian population, so much so that they are no longer considered and under-represented minority.
basically now, many asians have found a higher standard of living in their own counties, and are staying there.
Although not all of the kids in my school are of asian desent, many of them (a good 30-40 %) are.
The next video game market are women
Although there are a number of women that play video games, the proportion isn't nearly as many men that play video games... reason men design the the games.
but if u games targeted towards women, then that would be a whole new ball game
I think that c is going to be phased out more and more..
we're just waiting for the next big language to come accross and have the same effects that c had.
Java was supposed to be that language, but somewhere along the line, sun screwed up-- basically i believe with having portability..
but anyways.. C sharp might become that language we have been waiting for.
I guess it depends on what your other interest are as well.
If you want to get just a purely technical background, then Georgia Tech might be good. But if you want a well rounded background go to cornell, or another school with a really good engineering program as well as liberal arts studies.
over here we are required to take 18 creds of non-engineering and advised to take more.
they also have great language programs -- including hindi:-p
Whats happening right now is a global shift in where things are engineered. This has happened before as well. Basically, I am talking about how efficiency and difference in cost drives a certain economy to another area.
basically, the US produces about 10 Trillion dollars worth of goods and services. Now the US economy, as most of u know exports 600 billion dollars worth of g.s and imports 1.6 trillion dollars worht of g.s. Now who is buying the rest of what we produce?
thats right... other Americans! Basically the US is still going to produce just as much as it was-- most of the labor market in the more ineffienct areas will free up and shift to other areas.
What do you think happened to the US car industry once the japanese came in? they were forced to become more effiencet.
What happened to US manufacturing? those areas of the job sector shifted to other areas, but still the US unemployment figures stayed low. Even right now at 6 % unemployment isn't to far from ideal unemployment at 5 %.
because of indian standard of living is different than the US, (the cost of a pizza delivered is about Rps 60- roughly a dollar, cost of a hair cut 40 rps, the cost of a pen 10 rps) makes it more competitve. Until the indian standard of living rises, there will be a shift of jobs... and those jobs will enter more effienct markets.
I dont see how thats even funny....
Atomic spacing is on the order of angstroms, which is on the order of x-rays...

In my opinion-- this is as credible as scos claim--- it goes nowhere.
