The progressive culture has separated this country, and turned everyone against everyone. Once the entire world gets away from political correctness, and GROWS A SPINE, perhaps the world will be a bit better place!

Tired of this "you have a right" to pretty much anything...for FREE crap. I never asked NO ONE for ANYTHING since I was 18. Everything I have is because unlike a lot of idiots, I wasn't out smoking dope, partying, drinking, having 4 children by 3 different "baby mama's". I worked my but off, got out of college & have been gainfully employed for over 30 years. Of course in my 20's, I got into credit card debt, but, I did without a new car all the time, vacations, big screen this and new cellphone that and paid it all off in 2 years. I have a lot of money in the bank, retirement set up, NO debt, an 815 credit score. Why should I have to pay for some other idiots non responsible life? All a lot of them do is just sit around all day, smoking dope, having babies and NEVER WORKING A DAY IN THEIR LIFE, and, then they blame ME for their problems. GET OFF YOUR LAZY A** and WORK for a living. "But...but...I'm only "qualified" to work a minimum wage job at the age of 30, we need a "living" wage". And that's MY FAULT why? That 15 bucks an hour crap ain't gonna work anyway, because those jobs will mostly GO AWAY. The ONLY ones that benefit from that increase in minimum wage ARE UNIONS. Why? Because their contracts on wages, ARE TIED to a percentage of the minimum wage. Whenever it goes up, their salaries automatically go up! Stupid fools!

  11. I have since the 70's on Slashdot Asks: Do You Support Nuclear Energy? (gallup.com) · · Score: 0

In junior high, in the early 70's, there was a license granted to build a nuke plant about 20 miles from us. In school, before class we were talking about "oh no! It could "blow up" like the A-bombs that ended WW2". Our science teacher (then, we thought he was just a kooky old guy, in my 30's I realized how SMART he was). came in, heard us yapping about a nuke plant blowing up, and he canceled what he had planned, and spent the entire class explaining what a nuke plant was, how it was built, the safeguards to keep it from melting, or releasing steam with radiation, as opposed to "blowing up" like an a-bomb. By the time class was over, I don't think any of the 25 students in this class were against nuke energy, because it was nothing more than a closed loop steam generator to drive turbines. Yes, the Russian plant blew up, but they used a different method to keep it from going critical. Yes Three Mile Island, even with man screwing it up, didn't "blow up", and most of the radiation was contained. Yes, the one in Japan is a mess, but, because the morons put the thing right on the coast, with the backup generator in the wrong place and it flooded out. MORE people are injured, killed in the back of the late Senator Ted Kennedy's automobile, than the U.S. nuclear plants.

I scared the crap out of one of the ladies in our office. She was sitting in a rolling chair. After it got going, I pulled back on the chair and moved it. You could hear her scream through the entire office. Then they thought they would try me on it. I stood up. Didn't bother me one bit. I thought it was pretty funny. Then they had me sit in a chair and moved me around. Still didn't bother me. Why? Couple reasons. One, I KNEW it was fake. Same like hypnotizing. I've had several "experts" try and they've never been successful. Two...I use to climb 100-200 foot radio towers in my 20's & 30's. Heights don't bother me, nor do roller coasters. Even the loopy loop, curves, drops, heights...I find them boring. If I know something isn't REAL, haunted houses, things like that, they don't bother me at all, because I know it's fake.

People toss perfectly good working 2k TV's for 4k TV's...and you can bet there will be silly 8k TV's, granted, the prices continue to come down, but unless you are a pixel peeper, most people won't even be able to see the difference. It use to be, that use kept something until it was worn out, now, we toss away items, sometimes before their warranty runs out.

A cashless world, means the GOVERNMENT controls any money you have, not you. They can say, you want to buy xxxx? Card denied. It's not good for you. Healthcare comes to mind. Since the government has your health records, if you are overweight, diabetic and you stop at a place that sells sweets, you swipe your card and they say NO. You like to ski, you've had a couple accidents while doing that activity. You try to get a ski lift ticket, NO, you are denied again. Government/banks need money, no problem just take a few thousand from every person's account. And on and on. "oh you are just an alarmist"...they would never do that. WANNA BET!

If they want their taxes raised, then just write a check to the IRS every month and leave the rest of us the hell alone. You want more revenue coming into this country than they could ever dream of? Repeal the 16th amendment, impose an across the board fair/flat tax, that cannot be changed without a DIRECT vote of the public, and watch all that offshore money come back to this nation. It would make it VERY appealing for other countries to do business in a BUSINESS friendly environment. Of course, with no IRS that would take away the POWER that congress/senate has over its citizens, so, don't look for it happening without an article 5 convention of the states.

  20. More global alarming hogwash on Scientists: What We're Doing To The Earth Has No Parallel In 66 Million Years (washingtonpost.com) · · Score: -1, Troll

It's the sun that is mostly the cause for "man made" global warming, not man. But, that won't stop the people who, from the time they were born, to now, that have been indoctrinated into the church of global warming. It's a RELIGION to most of them. Everything bad in this world is man's fault, of course along with "big oil" big pharma" and everything else. Only sitting in a circle and singing I like to sing the world to sing will fix it. There is nothing to fix. The earth warms, the earth cools, due to that pesky neighbor 93 millions miles away. Watch the solar sunspot cycle and look at the earth warm/cool cycles and you will see the parallels. We are currently in cycle 25, and if you are an amateur radio operator, the lack of sunspots & CME's have have killed a lot of the band propagation that we usually enjoy. Some have said the sun is in another "cooling period" and cycle 25 might be one of weakest in modern history. Even a small variation in solar activity, can have a huge impact on the climate of the earth, depending on what level of CME/solar wind hits our magnetic bubble. In the 90's when man made global warming was all the rage, the retreating ice shelf in the Scandinavian area, opened up and revealed an abandoned silver mine dating back hundreds of years, BEFORE the industrial revolution. Now, if the earth was WARM enough hundreds of years ago, BEFORE the burning of fossil fuels, pollution and everything else blamed on man, to enable life to have a small village, then WHAT caused the earth to be so warm? If it wasn't man, then it was by NATURAL causes, most importantly, THE SUN. It is the only explanation, other than those pesky aliens that came down her and built the pyramids, and the Mayan temples LOL.

  21. I bet most of these idiots that blow themselves up have been in France or Europe for months/years just waiting for someone to call them and say "hey achmed! time to strap on a bomb & go blow up some people". Europe is so distracted with the flood of NEW islamic would be terrorists (mostly men of "army" age) they haven't time to police any of them that have been in country for years, not that they would anyway do to the global political correctness bug floating around.
