seriously, if dvds came out at the same time as theatre release, i would go to the theatre much less.
a couple weeks ago, i watched a pirated version of V for Vendetta . . . it was a crappy camcorder release, but it made me want to see it in good quality . . so i went to the imax to see it.
if my friend would have downloaded the dvd version instead, i would have had no need to go to the theatre . . . not to compare dvd quality to the imax, but it is much better than a camcorder version!

They are annoying and repetitive.
For this same reason, I block ads.
Also, for this reason, I love google ads.
I can ignore them easily and they dont use as much bandwidth as picture ads.
If I am interested, and have time, I may view them. Easy enough.
the dude came out and talked about how we need to "own" the music to help keep the music alive. his example was quite weak; he used how the artists sang the beatles song, across the universe, to raise money to send to teh tsunami victims.
i personally think that was lame, because those rich bastid artists (Damn i hate bono) could have easily shelled out way more money than will be made off of their raping of the beatles.
