>The argument is not that no other company bundles browers with their operating systems.
I'm not a mac user, but I'm pretty sure apple bundles safari with their OS.
I'm having trouble with your second point: your saying that whatever OS is the most popular at the moment is commiting a crime by pushing their own products? HOW they pushed them may have been unethical, but just how has IE hurt browser innovation? Opera,Chrome,Firefox...all better the IE..
do I think IE6 deserves it's market share? No,I don't So Inlighten me I.T. guys: why is your company still using IE6? Mine's not...
I'd like a list of all wars and police actions fought in world since 1950 please. I'd like to do some research into this "USA is cause of all wars" thing. ( I'm not denying it,but I'd like to see some proof.)
And, just for the record, other countries try to tell us what to do all the time. and it does make us furious. it's why we start so many wars...
I remember ( a few years back) going to see "Godfather III" and being suprised by all the small kids in the audiance. this was not a comic book film. anybody with a brain knew was not a kids film. Too Cheep to hire sitters? your guess is as good as mine.
the autoloader from "Aliens" was a prop. Details are in the "Making of" mini-doc on the
DVD. the "fact" that it was a real machine is a common net myth though.
can't load java applets by default (says no plugin available, doesn't prompt for downloading one).
you'll need to download the rc of update 10 for java 6 to get java apps to work in chrome.

Does the "Avarage Joe" actually install a new Operating system on his old xp box? I did not install it on my 4 year old machine, but it runs just fine one the new machine I just bought.
all the software I ran on the old box runs better/much better on the vista box. Not that that has much to do with vista of course. some software might run faster under xp. but at least one game ( civ iv) seems better behaved under vista.
I read tfc but I guess I'm stupid. I'm all for unbundling, but why can't I pick an OS and have Dell/Hp/whoever install it for me before shipping? I don't think the avarage consumer wants to install their own OS.
uh...you could always turn off either photoshop or winamp..
of course you can also just turn of the browser plug-in,or use a different browser, so you have a point. not quite malware, just annoying-ware.
Of course, the catch ultimately is that, even in states like Texas, does the SSID broadcast count as consent?....
I suppose that depends on what the SSID is broadcasting. If it reads "private network;hackers die!" I don't think consent is implied.

I'd comment but I'm not a minority of any sort, so:

OK, yes I should have rtfa. so it is malware IF you are using opendns.
anyone know if this breaks open dns's "shortcut" capability? if it does then it could be classed as malware.
..are the only things I can see e-books catching on for. Most software manuals are already pdf or similar format.
yep. Linux version is easier to configure as well. I still cant get Java to work right under Mozilla.
my pc sits in a cabnet under my desk (slot in back of cabnet prevents overheating) I dont hear it all unless I open the cabnet door.
