    My job interview went something like this:

    Can you do setup a domain controller using samba to control 2k/xp clients?

    Yes

    Can you setup a mail server with spam, pr0n, AV filtering?

    Yes

    Can you setup a secure website for transactions, and write it?

    Yes

    Can you do this all in one week?

    Yes

    Notice the lack of ENGLISH questions in that entire exchange. But, if you need that to pad your resume, more power to you I guess.

    That's right folks, this is just going to get worse and worse, with each IM service locking down the clients for "security concern$".

    jabber, on the other hand, is an open protocol, and by nature, and third party clients are encouraged.

    I've been exclusive on jabber for 6 months now. If anybody really wants to chat with me, they can do so through jabber ( skennedy@qualitydentists.com )

    My advice to you ( besides removing your head from your ass, but I felt that goes without saying ): Check out what our government is doing. There are reasons, very valid reasons, why a sizable percentage of the world doesn't like us, or at the very least, doesn't trust us.

    To think that our government only does that to "the other guys" would be nothing short of moronic ( or to translate for you, "fucking stupid" ).

    As to your flame, well, keep trying, good flamers didn't become good over night. They had to smoke a lot of pole to get where they are today.

    No, of course not. I'm saying that, on average, fictional books are better for someone than the crap on the internet ( and especially TV ).

    And how is expanding creativity NOT expanding your mind? Without creativity, what are we but machines reacting to our enviroment.

    To answer your hypothetical: I would much rather read something that helped me think better than something that just gave me facts. Give a man a fish and all that..

    How exactly is it that the internet and tv "infect" you, whereas books don't?With all the crap online and on the TV, you can ask this question with a straight face?

    Fiction is trash, I might as well watch TV. You learn NOTHING from, say, the latest tom clancy, or harry potterAh, america's populous is well on it's way to "sheep" status. That said, you can't be serious. Reading fiction expands the mind, I won't bother with proof, you can find that on your own.
