Either grab an issue of Circuit Cellar or try their site. They have yearly issue on wirless connection stuff and I think they have had a few articles on Bluetooth.
Was thinking of slaming the phone back on the hook very hard after screaming into the phone about if you call ever again I will sue you, your supervisior, his boss, your company and the morons that hired your group for everyhing you have!
I think its time to get nasty and litterly slam the phone back on the hook.
Well at least Dim Davis just sign into law about anti-spam for CA. Wont hold but...
You must be from England! The Dragon was not that big of a hit in the U.S. since RS was already selling the orginal { Coco } here.
Funny. It was always fun coding a game to run as fast as possible but with an clone using today parts would be fun to try to slow down one to play on it!
They did a lot of studies late 50's and early 60's for using a deployable sail. If they added that with options of water or even rock landing that would make it much better on picking your landing spot.
They cant make a replacement for the shuttle that wont go balistic on budget or could even be built. Take a working idea. Add proven updated tech and test it. Except for comming down the shuttle is no more than a capsule, large, but a capsule. Get one going. Build on it with revision. Etc.
Just found the menu at Samsung. It does record in Mp3, has mike and line in and is closer to 390 than I thought. Actualy wonder if they both use the same chip set?
The iPF-390 cost more but beats everything else in its range.
Uses a AA not a AAA battery. Longer life.
Line in, built in mike, along with FM.
New software makes it a drive or you can have it the same as it been using iRiverManager.
Good FM reception with long headset.
Records in MP3 for Line in, Internal Mike and FM.
You can record or playback from 8kbps to 320kbps in sample freq 11.025 to 44.1khz.
Max 72 hours voice recording for 256mb. (144 hours for a 512mb unit.)
EQ in 5 bands +-12db in 3db steps. Or use a preset one.
Full graphs/four lines display. More of a micro GUI as the best description I can make.
MP3/WMA/ASF format.
Firmware is upgradable.
Even at lower quality 20kbps is still decent quality.
Super to have on a 4 houre flight or wating for your next flight.
And as soon as powers to be figure that a broken CD makes a few good point objects that can hurt humans dout if you could haull any more on board a plane.
There are some groups that are think of the tourist aspect. Take the fuel tank up to orbit with internal mod and string a few together. Zip you have very large tourst destination. And using minum fuel could send it around the moom like a cruse ship. Makes a lot more sense than the concept than the ISS as its in place now. Plenty of room etc. Maybe riskey but so is crossing the street.
The secret to juggling is not doing it once but multiple times.
You can tell from the History Channel show "Failure is not an Option" that those guys that did Mission Control back in the 60's and 70's had the drive and passion to do it but do it right! They gave a darn.
Could today group had said stop, have problem, lets get them back? After Apollo 1 failure they literly started from scratch fix the whole buggy mes and when 8 flew it was textbook. When 12 had the lighting hit and 13 a major problem they fought it and one. Look how much resources were use in saving them. Its not uncommon to have people injured or even die trying to rescue some one.
Its better to go down swinging than to do nothing. If they found out and work on solving it and still failed they would have been a report of lets get it fixed but also everthing was done that could be done but instead the record read NASA faild and did not give a darn.
Actualy what help in the investigation was all of the test sensors still in the wings from the early days.
The main problem is the limited number of ships, turnaround time and what do you do if the "perfect" heatshield is damage? If they had a real fleet not 4 but 10 to 12 of different configurations and could do different jobs would be better off. Esp if turnaround time was in the orginal 2 weeks timeframe. Would be better than strip it down and rebuild. In other words the shuttle is a jack of all trades but a master of none.
Would be nice if they could launch a Saturn 5 but those engeers are dead or retired that designed, builted and launched it and all the data is gone!
The last set of shuttle "replacement" are going nowhere. For example after the Russan could not do their full side, the US took on more. One designed was a lifeboat and with that designed also canceled the 7 astronauts on the ISS is cut down to three or max that a Rusan capsule could take. And the those three are on constant call just to keep thing going! The last one was a mess with the tank and other designed problems.
The shuttle is a mouse designed by a group or basicaly an elephant. With NASA there is really no insentive to make getting a pound up to LEO or anywhere else up there cost less or could even figure out how. That is the difference between the airline industry and NASA on moving a pound of material from one place to another. Or another analogy is have mutiple cities but no connection between them but very expensive transport. They dont expand or gain bennifits. But get a cheep road system and thing expand quickly.
I hope the Xprize will ignite private and low cost ways to space. With a transport system that is expensive, buggy and costly, any problem is a major disaster. A airliner crash does not bring everything to a grinding halt with all airports shutting down. Actualt NASA need to look at the fundmentals and figure exactly what they need and should do. If getting out of launched business then so be it. If private can do it for less money but safer do it. The NASA of today is NOTHING like the NASA of old.
After you get past the jokes, Scifi ref etc this makes sense! A crain is not the best way but this makes greate sense! Add a fuel cell generator which is 100x more eficent and would be a boom to nursing homes, hospitals or anywhere lifting but impractial for the use of a hoist or crain!
A suite for the elderly would help in reducing the fear of loosing one mobility and improve ballance! Just to give the ability to move and put them back in control of there own lives would be a major boost.
All I can thing of is the line from the orginal Star Wars move when Leia says to Darth Vader, "The more you tighten your grip the more star system will slip through your fingers!"
I would love to see the Office Outlook go the way of the dodo along with Express! Both are junk and have way too many problems.
The best thing the goverment could have done is forced MS to clean up their code and fix the security holes. That would have been punishment enough!
The best shreader and most expensive are the diamond cut one. About $1000. Almost impossible to put back together. Add a burn bag and off you go.
To shread a CD-R/CD-RW/DVD+- But no normal stamped CD: 1) Find rough concret surface. 2) Place label side of CD-R or RW against the concret surface. 3) Rub untill you can see easly through disk. 4) Run like heck since you just made some toxic wast all over the place!
Which version of ST? The orginal series had a different ZC than the ZC in the TNG movie.
Why not! Be more efficent than a microwave beam.
Either grab an issue of Circuit Cellar or try their site. They have yearly issue on wirless connection stuff and I think they have had a few articles on Bluetooth.
Goodluck!

You forgot about Andromida Strain... Oh that was a intentional grab of space bugs!
Mad Man Muntz was right!
"Value Engeering" has been proven correct again!
I agree! Have the 390 { 256mb } and that the best thing for flying or super long stop overs!
Wow if they support that also!

Actualy one of the XPrize will use a capsule under a large ballon. When they get up to height they will fire the rockers in the capsule.
The real solution is to take youe disavantages and turn them into advantages. Thay is why Rutans concept makes pritty good sense.
Same with copters. Untill turbins came about copters were a light duty platform that had limited task it could perform.
Actualy they use one now as a lifeboat. Thats the reason why they have amax of 3 { 2 now } people aboard ISS.

Yep.
Are you describing the Space elevator that is possible shortly?

Better way is to pull the HD, stick it in a test machine boot on DI emergency floppies and make you image that way.
I agree about Dick Rutan's SS1. With the current testing is getting intersting.
Huh? Not one mention of having one for xmas? There was a lot on the My Pal Mickey and Bob the Builder.
Saw some where the underlighing sheleton and was quite impresive.
WOW! This is one outstanding idea!
