Republicans love saying things like foreign aid and welfare as they get reported in dollars where as military spending that only gets reported in percentages that make little sense unless you have seen the entire budget breakdown. Letting them argue over pennies when thousands are being wasted elsewhere.
The whole us budget is online in lots of charts and grafts. I encourage people to take a look at the entire budget what comes in what goes out and what is the total spent on various aspects. Forget any political sound bite that shows just how screwed up Washington is.
We start the year in a hole because Washington assumes 3-5% growth in taxes to start budgeting. Then you have politicians using GDP when they mean annual revenue. The military is 11% of the GDP but 30% of revenue. GDP doesn't apply to capitalist countries. Using it as a meteric is misleading at best and close to outright lying
Do you know how long that would take in a global market place?
Your key breaks, you get towed to the dealer who then has to submit a request which will be returned in 4-5 days while your car isn't in your possession. To cut and program a key which takes 5 minutes.
You turned a 10 minute issue into 5 day wait.
To access the database you need the vin and access to a remote database. It isn't like every dealer has a full copy. They have log in to access it.
The real issue is that log in probably failed rubber hose crypto. And they didn't have any verification on use. Every dealers inquiries like that should be logged and sorted. If a dealer inquires about more than x vins beyond what they sold then further inspection should happen manually into the inquires. You can go further and tie it into their dealership contract too.
It wouldn't prevent this from happening but it would notice sooner than -50 cars later especially if you make x to be 6 or 10 a month.
True but the reality is that even with growth the smaller companies will chew up and spit out John Deere until it is forced to downsize. Thus limiting the number of tractors
That is the point. Automated factories don't need the people. So small companies can do more with less which makes them agile enough to take out the big guys by offering a lower price due to having lower executive compensation.
Also look at John Deere competitors. Sure they have the name today. However if you look you will also see thousands of people trying to move away from John Deere as the equipment is expensive to maintain,( requirement special people and tools to do things like change a speak plug).
So for every John Deere article you will find dozens if not hundreds looking to replace John Deere with something else. Small companies are starting to eat them up
Manufacturing by itself doesn't boost the economy by much. Putting 10,000 people to work building stuff does boost an economy. As now you have 10-20,000 people who go out to eat, buy stuff( clothes the cars etc). Who wouldn't be able to before.
As robots take over the wage slave jobs productivity of the company goes up but local economy goes down as you don't have as many people living working and playing in your area. However what no one realizes is that as production automated smaller more agile companies can step in and produce just as many widgets as the next guy for a lower price due to having lower executive overhead.
Every company that heavily automates had better stay agile and not lock themselves into a niche.
I see the future where we will have a few big name brands but turn back to locally made products as it is cheaper to ship just resources and raw materials than it is to ship both raw materials and finished goods. The point of capitalism is to head toward the cheapest option possible.
The real question is if they make an 18 core chip why don't they go cellpower on them and start mixing up styles of chips. 12 CPU cores and 6 gpu cores maybe a coupe of fpga cores.
Let the CPU do all the processing based on which core is best suited for a given operation.
Yes the cell itself had some design issues that ibm never pushed through but it is a great concept. It just needed to be refined more for better performance. Also it was way early in the multi threaded world.
The economy of a country tied to just one or two primary exports will always collapse whether it is socialist, capitalist, or any other kind of government. When the mrket changes and that one export is less powerful that country will collapse whether it is Norway or Venezuela.
That is why the goverent shouldn't be in control of a given product but only get paid with tax dollars. I also find it funny that republiacans keep pushing to drill more oil and to sell the strategic oil reserve at a loss to raise short term cash. It is that short sighted thinking. Oil is low. Let other people do the work. Save yours for when the price goes up.
That's just it since health insurance is optional I can beat your rates by not charging the company for it, I get more work and more money and get free unlimited healthcare from emergency room visits per reagans law saying no one who goes to an emergency room goes untreated.
Personally I think forcing the cheap, poor and lazy to contribute something to the healthcare they need anywayswpuld be a good thing but republicans don't believe in people taking personal responsibility of their lives.
A better question have you sett aside $10,000 for your funeral yet? If not then you are not taking care of your responsibilities as you are going to die at some point. And if you don't pay for it then the burden falls on your loved ones or the state.
Neither of whom should have to clean up after your lazy selfish ass.
Yes and no the deep state doesn't exist. What does exist is an under current of ideas pushed up by various people who rise and fall out of favor with richer people getting heard more often.
If you want a smaller version of this go join a committee for a local group( doesn't matter what). And then try to change that committee slightly. You may succeed you may not but if you are paying attention the tone of the committee changes with what you do.
The same happens on large scale except the committee is made up of millions. And very few voices reach the top. However if those voices aren't in harmony of the group the disconnect is quiet real. That is where both republiacans and democrats are. Disconnected from reality. And it burned the democrats. And it done will burn the republicans.
Have you been watching Fox News? They have been commiting slander, libel and other things against the dnc staffer yet haven't said a peep against the fact that trump is leaking secrets to Russia. Fox and republicans don't care that trump is commiting treason. They are such hypocrites that if Hillary did half of what trump has done they would be hanging her.
But if one of their own does it ? It isn't a big deal. Republicans. Hypocrites to the core. Do as they say not as do.
2) Qualcomm was getting paid royalties by tsmc and other manufactures that made Apple products but then wanted Apple to pay a second time for the same royalty because it was in the iPhone. They have spent years fighting this and Apple finally told their suppliers to stop paying those royalties too. That is to bring qualcom to the negotations table trying not to double and triple dip. Expect Apple to win but be forced to pay royalties up to the time those suppliers stopped. Which is only fair.
Patent holding companies (qualcom) like isps want to get paid two three times on the same product. And are fighting very hard to do that. Htc and Motorola don't have to pay twice for the same chipset only Apple does.
The whole point of net neutrality is to stop isps from charging content providers for delivering content that their customers asked for.
the question isn't whether or not they patent something their rivals have been doing but whether or not the patent was in the approval process before them.
Manufacturing local isn't what makes manufacturing good for an economy.
It is the lots of middle class jobs that manufacturing employs. If you pay 10,000 people decent wages. Then you have. 10,000 people or more buying things, going to the movies, eating out etc. If you can do the same manufacturing output with just 2,000 people and robots the economy then can only have 2,000 people going out, etc.
Which is greater for the economy? 10,000 people or 2,000 people spending money.
What is going to happen to the other 8,000+ people? They have to find new work. What will end up is that they will work for small companies that pay less. So the boost to the economy is smaller,. However small companies are going to make a come back. Leaner and able to compete with less overhead, and manufacturing and distribution that could rival a company ten times their size but 20 years ago.
Such a diversafied economy will be more resistant and adaptable to swings in econmic changes as o email company going down won't wipe out entire regions. This is what happened to Detroit and Michigan. CR manufacturing changes wiped out the region.
What gets me is a movie bombs if it makes less than twice what it cost to produce. Also you have. A bomb today but over say the next year with video and on demand sales that movie will make plenty of profit. It just isn't making it in the first month so it is shit. To be fair I watched power rangers movie in a hotel room (at inflated cost). I am glad I was tired and just needed to zone out at the 2.5 hour movie seemed like it only took about 40 minutes but I was pretty tired by that point.
On the plus side it was the prefect movie to zone out and watch without paying attention to it probably made it seem better than sitting in a theater seat to watch would have.
Yep. Whenever work preforms security updates we literally lose a days worth of business as everything has to get reset. Local printers vanish as thier connections are disabled, with office 365 and outlook down for so long those caches get flushed, etc.
You wanna know fun? Get 30 people to download 3-5 gigs of emails in an hour on a 100 mbit connecting because that's the best the area has.. talk about a wasted day.
All because vendors reset settings that had no requirement of beingâ reset for siad Patch.
A little but the average person has a consistent schedule. They drive by the same stations at the same time 5 days a week.
It is tough to alter real life schedules enough to take advantage of lower gas prices at noon when they raise the rates 3 cents a gallon between 6-9 am and 4-7pm every week day and 5 cents a gallon on the weekends.
Republicans have spent a billion tax payer dollars trying to find one thing Hillary is guilty of other than being a power hungry bitch.
No one. Not even Donald Trump can stay free under that kind of scrutiny unless they are not guilty of legal wrong doing. No one can hide with that many private and public investigations going againist them.
Morally she might be bankrupt, but we don't try people for being morally bankrupt or trump would have been executed for his crimes decades ago. Crimes like never paying back contractors what they are owed. Like hiding money from legally owed taxes. Oh and running more companies into the ground than airlines have crashed planes.
So name one legal thing she has been found guilty of in a court of law?you can't all you know is propaganda heresey and lies told by Fox news and other conservatives. The fact you use liberal monkeys shows you are too stupid to use reason and logic.
The ACA made every poor, cheap and lazy person contribute something to the unlimited healthcare they got for free before. The Republicans plan takes away the mandatory buying of insurance and replaced it with either nothing or more free unlimited health care.
The ACA had flaws but it set a minimum standard of care, made everyone buy into it, to defray the cost. the acha under Republicans increases costs by letting people choose not to have coverage, and decreases the ability to get care.
Two governor's are already taking the options that Republicans siad are posion pills that no sane person would take.
A $50,000 robot uses maybe $5,000 in parts and electricity annually. Compared to a worker earning $50,000 a year and needs vacation time that robot can work 24 hours a day 6 days a week every week and be maintained by 1 guy(who does a dozen other robots too.
I sell the robots the best business case for robots is two fold. First while upfront costs are higher maintence and long term costs are way down, and a robot can scale production up and down as a business needs it to. This month you need 5000 parts daily. No problem. Next month you need 500 parts daily no problem.
Being able to ramp up and down according to sales is the future.
The future is a combo of 3D printing and just in time manufacturing keeping humans out of the production loop.
Except net neutrality is best done by the group that can actually punish the isps. If att said you could only talk to people on att phones is that an FTC or FCC issue? It is FCC. That is the crust of net neutrality. Isp want to limit communications from sources they don't get paid twice for.
true, but then again 100 million years ago the average temperature was significantly hotter, and the ocean levels were higher too.
as the northern artic passages open up think how much the sea level will rise. a mere 6 feet floods, New york, Boston, New orleans (again) Washington Dc, Atlanta, etc.
All those liberal will then have to move someplace dry and once conservative areas will suddenly become liberal.
What will conservatives do then? Protect the climate now to prevent the flood of liberals into your area./s
Says a moron who has never done a hard day of labor let alone several weeks worth.
