oddly enough that dominate situation is all MSFT's fault. they lowered the interface to the average idiot, and needed smart terminals for those idiots.
Both parties take it as a mandate from god and the people that they are the right choice and every thing they do is perfect if they win an election by more than 1% of the vote. Take both of Bushes elections, and even the latest Massachusetts Senate Race. In that race brown won by literally 100,00 people. Yet the Republicans and democrats are taking it as a massive upset.
2.2 million votes out of 6 million people and probably some 4 million eligible voters. so 52% of 50% of the voters said they wanted a republican and it is a mandate that will change everything.
however the real truth is that the people don't want either party to have complete control. that the in fighting between them is what lets things to go on. That neither side has a mandate for any kind of change because less than half the population even cares what the politicians do, and that half that does care is divided right down the middle.
Actually i can see both Iran and north Korea willing to kill millions just because. Ofcourse until it happens most won't believe. Soi say let them. One more city nuked millions dead and maybe the world will finally stoptrying to appease every one and realize some people just want the world to burn.
That because they feel safe and fail to drive their vehicles properly. SUV drivers tend rouse their four wheel drive to accelerate in bad weather. Because of that they drive faster thanroad conditions actually allow. Many times I have seen siv going 20-30% faster than the rst of the traffic. What each of those drivers forget is that you have to decelerate a lot more weight from higher speeds. They then slip and crash into someone. Or run the light and crash into someone as they can't stop.
As for bike riding there is one guy I pass regularly. I pass him on the same stretch of road every morning. In the summer it isn't bad in the fall and winter all you can see is a flashing strobe. The reflective stripes aren't useful until the headlights come around the long bend. He rides safe but I wonder how many near misses he has in a week
Why not? The commercials are more interesting anyways.
My usual super bowl predicition stands. One side scores at the end of the first quarter. The other teamscores in the second quarter. The last three touch downs are in the fourth quarter.
I forget the number but the last ten or so games have been that way.
Education doesn't show an ability to learn. how do i know this? because I know people with degrees who won't learn a damn thing that college didn't teach them. I also know people without degrees that not only learn something new every day, but try to build on that.
All a degree shows is that you sat through boring lectures and accepted the knowledge passed in them. All it shows is that you can sit in a 9am management meeting without falling asleep.
A degree does give you specialized knowledge that on the job training can't give you. and there are many jobs that require such knowledge but it doesn't show anything other than you have that knowledge.
Your right America does the producing but I still refuse to watch prime time tv as It is useless. Yes I do live in new York.
American prime time, news stations, etc produce more crap than actual news. It is why watch visit the BBC to realy find out what is going on in my own country.

if true i do hope that everyone calls that bluff. that way American content will finally die the death that it needs to. I don't know about you but all the good stuff is filmed in other countries anyways.
why not? MSFT doesn't support modern standards in win7 32 bit edition (EFI) and every one else has to hack their systems to make windows work. Since win 7 64 bit has poor software support and MSFT is unable to do a decent 32 bit/64 bit transition. every one else has to patch and hack windows to do simple things.
Bios like the rest of 1990's computer tech(win32 active X) needs to die and quickly. however msft will support win32 and the win16 developers until at least the last half of this decade and probably beyond.
It is a sad state that msft developers will build.net applications and then use windows 95 era installers for said software. it is sadder that msft lets such things happen.
um no it's not. I have to use IE 8 every day and it is slow. The kind of click to open in a new tab walk take a sip of coffee and and then I can use the computer again slow. It's page rendering isn't bad but that is offset with browser lock ups when trying to open more than one tab at a time. In safari, firefox, and even chrome, I can read one webpage and open up a bunch of tabs from it. in IE8 loading one tab in the background is enough to halt the whole computer interface for a couple of seconds. It has been that way since IE 8 was installed off a fresh windows install.
I am tempted to install chrome or firefox at work even though I shouldn't.
Actually I have tried them all. OSX is the ONLY desktop OS that allows HOT SWAP for monitors. that right you can unplug a vga, dvi, or display monitor and plug in another one and have the desktop resize itself without having to restart X or reboot the computer. It has been that way since at least OS X I never did try it with an OS 9 machine but then i never owned one of them.
try hot swapping X one day and unless you have carefully set it up correct before hand it crashes hard. OS X it doesn't care.
I have many gripes about apples controlling nature, and some of the weird limitations they impose and other than not having native network gui like X it is my preferred desktop.
neither one supports my second monitor natively. Xrandr is working on support so maybe by next christmas I can finally switch to linux on my second computer. I can hack Xorg, and recompile the kernel to make it work but since it works with only a driver install on mac and windows that is the way I am going for now. and every time i want to upgrade I am stuck.
buy a mac with snow leopard. easy dual monitor support with virtual desktops for them built in.
damn that sounds too fanboyish. maybe I should say i won't buy an ipad, because it lacks flash support. Not for lack of flash video which I am happy but can you visit a car manufactures website without flash?
You can tether with AT&T now the trick is they charge you an extra $20 a month. So if you are a poor AT&T customer your still SOL.
Indeed with the random variabilty of AT&T network speeds and latency why any would want voip over 3G is beyond me. As for verizon well their network is 3G in technology only. It has massive sections that can barely handle voice let alone data.
Well if your like my house it is closer to 1 in 765. NATs are wonderful for that. As they can determine IP but not one of the four users across 9 computers with Internet access.
well it has been 8 years since I had an accident on any car I have owned. and that one someone hit me while my car was parked and i was asleep.
talking on a cell phone while driving isn't bad, dialing the phone, changing radio stations, adjusting your GPS, turning up the heat are just as distracting. As to do most of those require your eyes be taken off the road ahead.
of course I am capable of walking and talking to two different people with two different conversations at the same time. After that i start to lose details of the conversations. I prefer to avoid it as it is rude to those I am talking with, but sometimes I have no choice.
That's field of view and pattern recoginition. Humans have roughly 180 degree view and can pick up movement and highlight faster than a 120 wide angle lens. Even something like a small color blur that lasts a fraction of a second is enough to move your head for a better look meanwhile a camera can't respond fast enough to a much smaller area. A camera only point is to zoom in for greater detail.
My personal annoyances are FPS games. While I can focus forward I keep trying to use the sides of my eyes to track game characters and only see book shelves. I wish they would support 180 degree displays and that I could afford one.
that's just it with headsets it varies. Holding a phone to my ear means I am missing one hand, lose peripheral vision and i have seen myself that it is a bad idea. I notice more slight serves etc. However with a bluetooth headset(mine is built into my car stereo) I have both hands on the wheel, I can move my head around and I have yet to notice a difference in my driving.
As for me it is the best time I have to talk with my sister. We both drive home at roughly the same time It is the best time for us to actually have a conversation that isn't interrupted by our regular lives.
NO she is saying she wants the Disney model where her great great grandchildren get paid for doing nothing because they are related to her. The google model while not much better at least lets the works become useful after her death.
depends on the show. a lot of scifi is done with flash based overlay's. Or more common when using "video phone" stuff is a green screen to be filled in later.
Of course it will. I would rather have the cops use a taser on someone than say beat the crap out of someone with wooden batons to get a drunk to listen to reason and stop driving.
If the problems with cars electronics is only temporary(pull battery cable off, let system rest, put battery cable on and go) I would rather have cops using this than say following a drunk doing 90 down a street cause the guy can't read the difference on his speed gauge.
Indeed Police really need a shoot first weapon to diffuse stupid people and still be able to ask them questions later with no real trauma(Taser really isn't it). will it be abused. Yep but we can make laws to limit police abuse, we can't make laws that stupid people won't break anyways.
Same thing that happens now if your engine quits suddenly at 70mph, you slow don fairly quickly while at the same time lose power sterring. However if your going 70mph your going in a mostly straight line anyways. Unless your dumb enough to go 70 down city streets. worst case is you crash going a lot slower than70 mph.
Distance unknown however it will probably be like a spot light in it's target area a spot probably about 10 meters wide at most.
nope, only if it hits them too, we shall find out.
In case you have been living under a rock a lot of laptops come with a webcam built into the bezel. A number of monitors are coming with bult in webcams. Why run two cables when one can work? Also the majority of web cams come with what? Monitor clips to attach the webcam tithe monitor anyways.
As for recording most include an in use light right nextto the camera.
oddly enough that dominate situation is all MSFT's fault. they lowered the interface to the average idiot, and needed smart terminals for those idiots.
talk about getting what you deserved.
your close but not quite there.

You are only half right. The unnessecary u's are in British English. Colour, honour, flavour are British English spellings not American.

I wonder if there is too much latency for something other than web browsing? Say you tube ormore likely porn videos.
