    your being funny but it is true. I figured I would miss out on opening day sales, as I have a life, but I stopped in July 11th with the intent of getting one on hold. I did so and the sales droid told me 3-5 business days. It shipped on friday 5 days, and should arrive on monday for me to use.

    Side note the first smart phone I actually spent money on. I can use any OS, but the iphone was the first phone that I actually enjoyed to use the smart phone features on. it was simple, and effective interface that I picked up in about 2 minutes. Unlike the hierarchal mess some phones have for interfaces.

    did you even read the summary? No one has been able to duplicate his work. ever. while it is interesting and someone should study the work for other possible effects overall it has been a massive failure.

      Mcdonald's is like MSFT Windows Just because it is the worlds most popular, doesn't make it the best one available.

    if we can tune devices to make use of the casmir effect does that make us one step closer to building actual nano machines?

    or could such effect be controlled to make even smaller CPU's?

    The new movie is supposed to say the same thing. I haven't seen it yet, but i wouldn't be surprised as the title is Escalation, and Gordon made that exact comment to Batman in Dark Knight.

    have you seen NASA's budget's? they not only need duct tape, and rubber bands to hold it together, but only macguyver is smart enough to understand it and he is a rocket scientist.

    MCD grilled chicken was really grilled chicken. top it off with a tangy mustard sauce(ie dejon mustard from the arch), and real lettuce and tomato and it wasn't bad.

    it did take years however before I could eat one of their burgers again with out becoming ill.

    since I lack mod points I have to agree with you. The dejon mustard sauce was great.

    I actually got in trouble at MCD while working there for making an arch but using the grilled chicken instead of meat. now that was a tasty sandwich.

    for the shuttle? probably not, for a much smaller top mounted CEV? more than likely, if they survive the G forces. the capsule could probably be safely recovered. the contents are another matter depending on how the g forces hit them.

    That visual bug only happens when the parent is modded down below your threshold. Lowering your threshold, brings it backup.

    the rest of the bugs I have seen and haven't been able to sort out as easily.

    exactly now it is possible to site this case and say anyone who runs your program by loading it into ram is violating copyright, and thus should pay you extra.

    Given how long the RIAA extortion scheme has been going on by the time the mess is cleaned up it will be too late.

    actually half the text messages I get are short emails, it is far simplier to send a quick email with directions than try to describe a location on the phone.

    I have to restart it maybe 3 times a year, usually when my cable modem drops, or is acting up. IE just the other night service to my area went down and after it came back up I had to reboot the damn thing to get it working once again.

    the only other time it falters is when it is 95 outside, and it heats itself up to the point of crashing. that happens maybe once a year.

    As long as both the modem, and the router are chugging alone they are happy if one drops oddly it takes the other with it usually.

    well ebay put themselves there once you start down the path of policing your own system you have to be responsible for it as well.

    ISP need to stay neutral or else they too will become responsible for the content going over their networks. Of course their favorite point of not being neutral is the fact that they might become responsible for said content. thus pushing them further out of reality.

    stop telling lies. Apple has yet to reach their publicly stated sales goals, because the time limit is still on going. They have always stated from the beginning that they wanted 10 million units sold by the end of 2008 they had some 6-7 million sold before iphone 2 was released.

    Apple will make their sales goals with ease and plenty to spare. Apple also doesn't want to be the main cell pone provider. even 5% of the market would rival ipod sales.

    Also Iphone has had at least one bi weekly article about it since last year. hardly lowering the coverage.

    That is pretty much it too. KDE 4 is changing everything about KDE's underlying structure with the hope of unifying things in ways that were literally hacks before. The concepts are great to the point of moving away from the "desktop" unfortunately they as you said finished up the libraries and hadn't finished up the front end.

    Didn't researchers at HP recently discover how to build memreistor's? That isn't a 6 month to market product and can profoundly change computing.

    Thus negating the article at least for HP. IBM does work like this also it is where the Cell processor idea came from years and years ago.

    MSFT does have singularity, and a few other pieces of completely random but cool tech that will break compatibility with their other offerings so they will never see the market but are still done just because.

    sure it is. it needs to be a really big bullet though and you need to super heat it before it hits the clouds. Fire it from space. The cloud will dissipate around it.

    I wouldn't classify most pirates that way but quite a few.

    you can't return a game once you opened the box. therefore if the game doesn't play well on your hardware, or if it really sucks and the demo has all the good parts in it(like some movie trailers). Console Gamers can usually rent games from blockbuster, etc.

    PC gamers have to shell out money to even find out if they might actually like it.
