    I have done that since win 95. my Programs directory has 6 items in side of it, each with a generic name (Office, accessories(cause windows likes it), System, Internet, multimedia) Office programs(ms office, Open offfice, Palm desktop). and so on. Multimedia is broken done farther into audio, video, cd redording, stream ripping)

    Shit a slot loading dvd drive would of been a lot better. Even if he elongated the floppy hole a bit and it wouldn't take much. It would of been more natural.

    instead of normal cable ties, get velcro cable ties, they hodl tie, and are reusable. Be sure to seperate data, from power.

    In my new office I made sure to arrange furniture so that I have access to the back of everything, But even with cable ties it looks like shit. My main cumputer desk is 4' tall, so I doubled over an old blanket, and stapled it to the back of my desk. It makes things look nicer, and keeps dust down. As for heat, only the monitors sit on that desk. So all you see from the back is 2 CPU's and two bundles of cables going under the blanket a foot away.

    Control Expectations defeintately. but in the late eighties, I was creating all sorts of 2d games. RAcing games were the easist. two joystick controlled sprites. I forget the rest, all I remember is that I created one so large(LOL) I over filled the 32k of ram the ti994/a and locked up the system. GOOD times.

    I still can crash a system just because. though windows really shouldn't count should it?

    the first high res digital camera's came with a night vision attachment. between the two of them they could 'see' thorugh light weight clothing during daylight hours. a " saftey upgrade' suppoedly fixed it. not sure if it does or not.

    Floppy drive??? why I haven't used floppy disc for toehr than booting windows machines since 1999. I am glad apple dropped them. they are useless. Know I use knoppix to fix most probelms with windows drives, or the window install disc, and let it format out a drive.

    The only time there is a cost with using GPL software is when you change something and then distribute to people other than your own comapny. The you must supply the source code. If you keep it in house you have no problems. Unlike BSD which microsoft, SCO, SUN . all charge you for parts of BSD that they used over the years.

    the oneida lake he is refering to can be seen on any map of NY. It is the big one right dead center of the State. Roughly 3 miles wide, and 20 miles long. IF a winter is cold enough (and most are) the whole thing freezes over to the point where snowmoblier's have a good time. Of course it is -1 there at the moment but that doesn't count does it??

    My best skip is 15 hops, on a summer day, in the Thousand Islands.

    check out Star Office. I don't know the exact requirments that you need and if it will fill them all. Star Office(open office paid for cousin) comes with a database program, and Both include presentation. a PowerPoint style tool. Do they have all the features as MS stuff I don't know. ARe they working on it? more than likely

    Everybody do some actualy research. i was working at a McD's at the time it happened.

    Fact one the coffee is no where near the boiling point, it was at 130 F almost hundred degrees cooler than boiling.

    The cups are labeled HOT coffee for a reason.

    An Appeals court overturned most if not all of the award. For some odd reason someone in the Appeals court thought it was dumb to stick a cup of known hot liquid in your crotch and blame someone else when it spilled.

    There is a reason why you use the GPL instead of a more open license like the BSD. The People who later change your work must give you Credit for the orginial work. And all extra work will also be GPL. Garenteening that it will be free and Not STOLEN by a company. best example of why the BSD license is not quite as strong is by looking at ftp.exe in notepad, and searching for copyright. The GPL makes it certain that your work will always be your work, and it will always be free.

    why worry about heat and dust build-up. 4 years ago i built a computer and I didn't install enough fans orginially. it simple overheated. I took off the cover, and never put it back on unless I am moving the case around town.

    Heat no longer an issue, as it now goes straight up.

    Dust, well that decreased because the air can flow right out of the machine. and when it gets to bad i just reach over with a can of Air and blow it out.

    Thank you I was going to say the same thing.

    Cat 3 is all you need for phones, keep the phones and network on physical lines, it drastically lessons cross talk. once you use cat 5 for phone it can't be used for network, because the phone compnaies in the USA use a 50volt ring and that will screw your connection up well whenever the phone rings.

    As for location hire an election to drill and cut the openings. it will still cost you, but it will be done right.

    a better question is whether or not his parents have already patent their DNA, if so does that consitute prior art. They can easily claim to have had it longer, and it is a derviative work, of merging to to prior arts.

    well by that point in time I will be using macs and linux pc's, So either I will be immune, or just won't be upgradeing any more hardware. It will suck, but I will be free, to do as I live, as I desire.

    I run Seti@home on two machines, an Athlon 550mhz, 128mb ram, running linux, and a pentium 1.4 256 mb ram running win me(yea Iknow but I like the eula better than winxp) either way, on average and once must average it out as different work units compute differently. the Athlon 550 is 3-4 times faster at processing units, than the pentium. Interstngs side effect even when the athlon 550 was running win98 it was 2-3 times faster. Command line helps but compiler options help more
