I would say that the ratio for Mac vs PC games is higher than 2:1. Mac is a great platform for certain things, but ask any dev that has tried to make games for the Mac and they'll tell you about Apple's bipolar attitude towards gaming. That is part of the problem as well as cost vs return for such a small market.

I agree, the idea that we'd be living in a happy go-lucky open standards world with a Freaky Friday style switch of Mac and Windows is a joke. I mean they stopped allowing clones because other people were making Macs better and cheaper then they were.
Kahney is a religious zealot when it comes to the Mac. In fact when I wrote him once to ask him about an obvious bias in a Mac article he wrote for Wired he told me he likes posting stories with a twist that pisses off PC users even if the story doesn't need to.
Bitch all you want about the Xbox, but the PS2 is just as bad and the older models were worse. Between crapped out pickups and fried power supplies quite few people are on their second or third PS2.

True, but all that it will take to unseat Apple is for someone to make something more "hip and cool". Apple makes decent products, but they aren't the be and end all that Mac zealots say they are. Also, just like a lot of companies that succeed they refine other people's ideas. The MP3 player has been around for a long time, Apple just pacakaged it well and charged a premium then engaged in a clever marketing campaign.

I worked at a game development company for 5 years and XP was the most stable OS I had ever used in all that time. My reboot percentage on XP is far, far below 12%. I know it's anecdotal, but my experiences contradict their results.
That's for DD and I wasn't talking about DD. I said the Audigy supports 5.1 and it does. I have my Audigy 2 Zs hooked up to my DTT3500 and when I play games I get both front and rear. On newer games that support it I also get center and sub. This is done through the DIN connector and it works fine. 5.1 is not a Dolby term, it's a generic term for 2 front, 2 rear, 1 center and 1 sub.

Warranty does not and should not cover accidents. Lot's of electronic only have 90 day warranties it's a fact of life if you want lower prices.
