    That sounds like it should be true.

    But my USB drive is slower then my HD access.
    And less reliable.

    Is the USB layer the bottle neck here?

    No. Not at all.

    It would seem that you're not familiar w/ the phrase, "house of cards". Each layer in a house of cards is inherently "unstable". This is because the layers are built, out of cards that are propped up against one another. Eventually, there comes a time in the life cycle of a house of cards, where one of two general scenarios will be played out.

    Either ...

    A) The house collapses under either its own weight or its structural instability.

    or ...

    B) Someone comes along and does something that the house of card builder, didn't expect ...
    some of these things can be innocent (ex. a sneeze, a door closes) ...
    some are malicious (ex. blowing as hard as they can at the structure) ...
    and some are down right funny (ex. rubber band flying out of no where).

    My point is ...

    I wouldn't blame the person who was sold a house of cards to live in. I wouldn't blame the event that destroyed the house of cards either. In fact, the only person I'd blame, is person who sold it and claimed it was a reasonable solution, for modern versatile living.

    In closing ...

    The people to blame are not, in fact, the hackers. The people to blame are the ones who have developed this house of techno-cards and pawned it of to organizations as a business solution. The hackers are doing what the system allows them to do. Blame the system. If the hackers weren't supposed to do something ... then they shouldn't be able to.

    In fact the only reason for physical movie sales ...
    is do to the recent boom in secret shoppers.

    Come on people ...
    I can buy a new movie title for around $15 on New Release Tuesday.
    If you have a family that likes to eat snacks ...
    That's about 1,000% cheaper then the movie theaters.

    And that figure leaps in logarythmic proportions if you factor in multiple viewings.

    I too like the middle wheel click.
    Would suck to be w/o it.
    I'll order the Microsoft Wireless Notebook mouse today.
    It has a wheel.
    And the transmitter stows in the mouse as well.

    Why use BlueTooth for anything that doesn't use it benefits. RF is cheaper ... 'cause it's been around for ever'ish. That being said ... why would anyone spend time and considerable money developing ... stereo BlueTooth headphones? When RF signals have been doing the same thing for years. What? Do I need my mp3 security encoded?

    I have to believe that children are not as smart as adults.
    If you give a child too much to do, they will not determine what is an appropriate amount for them to "learn".
    They will in fact, simply, do nothing at all.

    But ...
    Have you considered that they may not care that files are flushed every week.
    They may just take your equipment.
    Try to see if they can utilize some new technique to obtain the deleted information.
    And if they can't.
    They may just keep your equipment until you come up with a lawyer that can get them into court ...
    So that when they eventually are in front of a judge and the whole thing is summarilly thrown out of court ...
    You might get your equipment ...
    But it may not function again.
    And beyond that ...
    God forbid that they claim that you are a terrorist.
    Or someone aiding a terrorist.
    If that should happen.
    Under the patriot act ...
    You can not gain the aid of "any professional".
    So you'll never even get the lawyer ...
    To even get your equipment back.
    And beyond that ...
    You'll never get a doctor ...
    to help you with this huge ulser that you've created by this point.
    Not that anyone will ever know ...
    or care ...
    We won't be able to know about ...
    the secret trial that they may or may not hold in your honor.
    All in all ...
    I'd say that your plan is a fair one.
    There's nothing you can do to stop W.
    You may as well burry your head ... somewhere.

    Basically I blame the 3d camera angle cinematic bs on the game console ...
    If Microsoft ... or Sony ... or Whoever ...
    Actually gave a crap about consistency of games on their platforms ...
    They'd provide a well-thought-out game engine that took care of these issues in a standard way ... to the folks developing for those platforms.
    This ... in fact ... may involve all the console providers to come together to develop a industry standard ...
    Considering that most games are released for every console.
    I would imagine the engine would handle more then just how to handle the senerio when an object shows up between your character and the camera ..
    I'd like to see the object just become transparent ...
    Sort of the way Gobblin Commander handled this issue ... they really did a good job w/ that ...
    The rest of the game sucked ass ... But they handled many of the camera issues well.
    Any way ...
    I would imagine these engines could address issues like quick save ...
    As well as provide an AI'esc rules engine that developers could just attach to ...
