Very true! Shame since it combines two things (speed & violence) that you'd think would resonate with American viewers based on what is popular in the marketplace!
Sorry for dragging this off on a side topic anyways!
Hence why I'm proud that one of the few things that the NHL has done recently is to not limit their fans to some locked in DRM'd platform.
Granted the NHL is desperate for viewers outside of Canada and the NE of the United States, but baseball is hardly pulling down serious money out side of it's top 5 markets.
The MLB has done a fantastic job this year of screwing their loyal fans out of their money.
Adobe has a knack for programming software that makes MS look incredible. There seems to be no awareness of what the teams are doing. Having to install programs in a certain order so that they don't break each other is hardly an idea situation for any company using their products.
Sure they've got a lock on some markets but it sure doesn't mean they're great. IMHO this would be disastrous for Apple and their, well from my perspective, long line of fairly sold programming. I'm not sure they really want to scrap everything Adobe has done and start from scratch so that it actually plays nice with each other.
For reference I've got a mix of Acrobat 5,6,7, Illustrator 8,9, and FrameMaker 7 here. Probably should upgrade one of these years...
I found I had less rendering problems with Opera than with Firefox. I would have stuck with it at the time but Opera didn't support the built-in ghetto gTalk on the GMail website.
Now this was probably a year a go I tried it... So there is a fairly good chance I might be talking out of my ass now.
Don't suppose you've got a tax rate on the middle class handy do you? Didn't think so there sport.
So I pay around 30% in taxes here, and I'd pay around 25% in the US...
We have a massive surplus (remember those?) that goes in to renewing our health care and infrastructure. Sort of a help out the community approach, that might be difficult for some people to understand but I'm sure no one here.
Yea.. You've certainly got us on that 5% though.. Wow. We are socialist pigs!
Exactly, that's been the problem for years here since our dollar has been on a rampant rise.
Until the Canadian consumer actually demands more price parity on our goods why in gods name would a manufacturer decide to charge less if we are willing to pay a 15% premium on the item simply because we are in Canada?
I mean I'd do something, but I'd hate to start a fuss and all...

Sweet Jesus! You just made my year! Thanks!

Excuse me while I enjoy my NHL feed on YouTube :)

Get out the tinfoil hats but I wonder if the HD-DVD group "persuaded" K-Mart with a wack of cash to dump BR ala Paramount?
It's Bush's fault.
Yea.... speaking of which (rolleyes)
Wait.. need to patch box again...
Alright.. Long Live FTA! (until the next blitz by BEV)

After taking your foot out of your mouth please go learn more about this machine! It's an M series, it's built for this.
On top of a giant pile of money, surrounded by many beautiful women?
... I'm reminded of the comic where Dilbert convinces the PHB that he can fly the plane with Excel... Good times..
Huh... it's been slashdotted... isn't that ironic...
Easy there tiger
So knowing how to use a slide rule will save humanity? Nice!
It's not one of those 'work hard but play harder' steel mills is it?
cue - Everybody Dance Now
Good to know! Glad it's changed, but now I'm too lazy to switch :D

Don't suppose this is a Canada wide lawsuit? And if so how do I get in on it?
I've been with Clearnet/Telus for nearly 10 years and apparently been handing free money to them... Good Times...
Does it matter? Do they even have fabs in the US?
Pulse optional?
