I'm seriously considering getting a DC to tide me over since the PS2 is being delayed. I've never owned a console before but the Dreamcast looks like a decent start. And I'll be able to play Chu Chu Rocket! Whoo-hoo!
Is there gonna be a version of Q3A on CD that has all of the updated code included? A kind of "Quake III Arena 2.0," if you will? Because if there is then I'd just rather wait a year or so and buy the game again if I have to. Thanks.
You know, I didn't even *like* Episode I all that much--wooden acting, Jar-Jar, etc.--and yet I practically creamed my shorts the moment I read the headline. Sad. Just. ..sad. Is there a 12-step program I can enroll in?
. ..I never understood MARTHA WASHINGTON. I guess it just went over my head at the time; I'll have to try reading it again some day. But at least it had a (more or less) coherent story, unlike, say, Bill Seinkewicz's STRAY TOASTERS. Blech.
. ..and cerimonially burn all copies of "BATMAN FOREVER" and especially "BATMAN AND ROBIN" on opening night. As for "BATMAN BEYOND," I have high hopes--it's a good show, and with a decent script could be made into a truly great movie. I would love to see "BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS" and "RED RAIN" up on the big screen as well some day.
> It doesn't take much. Just for a moment, stop identifying with the thoughts inside your head, and instead expand your identification to >include the whole world around "you", or rather, "in you".
But. ..how? I'm just me, inside this body, composed of my thoughts.
I *adore* Sailor Moon and the PPG (and Utena, and Nurse Angel Lillia, and. ..) but there's as much similarity between the Powerpuff Girls and the Sailor Senshi as there is between the Justice League of America and the X-Men. So there.
Neither does crap like Ranma 1/2, Fushigi yuugi, Macross II, etc etc.
Ranma 1/2? Crap?! Crap, did you say?! Fushigi yuugi, Crap?? Exqueeze me?!
The only Anime I want to hear about is stuff that isnt your run of the mill, "otaku" shit. Its obvious that the people running/. have been unable to determine which is which yet. The majority of the rest of the/. reader population doesnt want to hear about it either.
Well, then I guess myself (and a lot of other people here) are not in your so-called "majority," then. We're all entitled to our own opinion, you know, so count me as one more otaku who most definately DOES want to hear about Ranma, Tank Police and yes, SAILOR MOON along with his computer geek stuff (more Win 2K stores, please!). Thank you and have a groovy day.
Kawaii! An anime topic! (Goes to add it to preferences)
Iie desu ne!
Anyway: what I would really love to see one day (but probably never will) is the 24/7 Anime Channel. Nothing but all of the best, most innovative series, OAV's and full-length anime movies from Japan all on one station 24/7, 365 with no censorship and no commercials. Think about it: Ranma, Sailor Moon, Serial Experiment Lain, Urusei Yatsura, Cowboy Bebop, Grave of the Fireflies, Shojo Kaume Utena, Ghost In The Shell, Akira and a hundred other shows/series we've never even heard of, all subbed, dubbed or in the raw Japanese. If such a thing ever graced the airwaves, not only would I buy a telvision to watch it, I would spring for a friggin' home theater!
Sounds to me like M$ is really pushing to make their new toy a success--first they get the Bungie guys on board, and now Carmack as an advisor. Truth to tell, I thought X-Box was just vaporware at first, designed to scare people away from the PlayStation 2. Now it seems they're really going for it, and attempting to avoid the "1.0 Blues" by getting people on board who know what the heck they're doing. Kudos to them. I'm still getting a PS2 this fall, but after that, who knows?
Further analysis of your comments indicates that you are naught but a brainless troll, wasting everyone's time--including your own. Your remarks will no longer be listened to nor taken seriously by me. Thank you and have a nice time getting a life.
Sorry, I don't believe in "god;" as far as I am concerned there is no such thing. Please try again with a rational, intelligent, fact-based argument. Nothing else will be responded to by me. Thank you very much and have a nice day.
If the danger is as great as it is being made out to be, then shouldn't a research facility be built on the moon, or better yet at one of the Lagrange Points, where this technology can be studied in relative safety? After all, it's usually in the early stages of experimentation where all of the "oops--*KABOOM!!*" type mistakes are made.
. ..last weekend when my brother and I went out to Best Buy. I saw it sitting there on the shelves for US$40.00, but I remembered all the hell that the demo gave me--it ran slower then molasses going uphill in winter on my PII 450--and I opted for System Shock II instead for just US$19.00. Needless to say, I be a happy camper. I hope that Romero and company manage to turn their little company around, but I'm not holding my breath. I'll be waiting for Oni and especially Halo from Bungie instead. Those two look to have real promise as far as gameplay and sheer fun are concerned.
It would be nice to have an anime plug-in of some sort, or at least some skins you could download. I'd try to create the whole of Nerima--Ranma, Akane, Shampoo and all the rest. Or Urusei Yatsura! Gods, what I wouldn't pay to play "Sim Lum," or "Sim Utena" for that matter. There's probably all sorts of licensing issues, though--it'd likely cost the game creators out the wazoo to get permission. Pity.
Well, it's about f&^%$@ing time! As a recent convert to the "Church of the FPS"--previously, my idea of an action-packed game was Sim City--I've been waiting for the chance to try this thing out on my PII rig for awhile. I've already got QII and III, and while I realize that Daikatana will not come even close to being better then QIII in my book--at least, not in the pretty graphics department--it'll be interesting to see what all the fuss and long wait was about. Let's hope DIII doesn't take nearly as long to get here!!
I wonder if they will use some of the designs in Masamune Shirow's magnificent Intron Depot. That thing and it's sequel volume are truly amazing. And. ..inspiring. ^_^
Ummmm, not necessarily. . .

'Nuff said.
Can't remember who said it, but it's so very true. . .

God knows *I* would. She so creamy. . .

DOS attacks traced to
Lamer bratz.
Release the hounds.
I've even got my name picked out already. Heh heh.

1. Ranma 1/2 (including all of the movies)
2. Sailor Moon (ditto)
3. Macross Plus
4. Gunbuster (one of my absolute faves)
5. Akira (due out next year, I hear)
6. Cowboy Bebop
7. Ghost in the Shell
8. old school Dirty Pair
9. Dirty Pair Flash
10. old school Bubblegum Crisis/Crash
11. Bubblegum Crisis 2040
And a horde of others I can't call up at the moment. Anyone else got a shopping list?
