They were discussing this on the Radio this morning. Most of the DJs never heard of "W00t" and the one who did thought it was related to online gambling. That's the REAL WTF.
I would give them $999 to NOT do a DNA scan of me. Do I want to know if x years from now I'm likely to come down with Parkinsons Disease? Not really, I'd rather just live my life than worry about the future.
Ummm we TRIED the hybrid aircraft/spacecraft platform technology - its called the Space Shuttle, and it ended up setting space exploration back 30 years. Simple rockets work best.
Which leads us to another point - why have wings at all? We see all kinds of ships landing in atmospheres in Star Wars without them, so what purpose do they server in OR out of an atmosphere?
I graduated college in 1986. Back then, starting salarys were around $35K-40K/year. In most occupations, the starting salaries for recent college grads today are the same or even LOWER, even WITHOUT adjusting for inflation. Spending power is far less today than it was, unless you are buying consumer electronics. Rent on a nice apartment when I graduated was $400/month, movies were about $5, a new car was less then $10K, and you could still get Fish N More at Long John Silvers for 99 cents on special. So please tell me how people today have more spending power.
Nothing bat-like about it? What part of bats hanging from the ceiling of a cave didn't you understand?
At least add health care. That will be the deciding factor for my vote.
All I can say is - I'm glad I went to school before personal computers were around!

I can do that now, without "knowing" (which is not a statistical certainty anyway) that I may contract some disease.

you miss classic? seriously? I can't count how many "Sad Macs" I would see back in the day. OSX in any flavor is a HUGE improvement.
1. Get a job working at Microsoft. Even as a Vendor (like I did)
2. Move to Redmond, Washington area
3. While everyone is gushing about the XBox 360, go to Fred Meyer and buy a Wii collecting dust on the shelf.
because there are more than 4 weeks in a month? (except non-leap year Februarys)

The real WTF is that we need the British Broadcasting Corporation to tell us what the American Space Agency is doing.
i used to have an HP Laptop with a big lit button on the keyboard that would disable the touchpad. Wish my current Dell had that.
What about the fourth, African American Ghostbuster? Won't HE be back too?
Email as a social network? Thats what we did in the late 80s before the web.
Except for, oh I don't know, Internet Explorer?
Why does the author think everyone uses Flickr? I've been using Ofoto (now Kodak) for years and am happy with it.
huh, I always thought that line was "Luck Ass Falls in Attack Position". Yours makes more sense (although I still dont know what an S foil is)

Huh? I'm guessing the 80 GB version is 80 GB in size.
Actually, for the first time, we see a device that HAS wireless and HAS more space than a Nomad - perhaps it WONT be lame.
Mr. Pibb + Red Vines = CRAZY DELICIOUS
Ahh, nostalgia time. My TI-55 was the first "computer" that I ever programmed - it got me interested in the field.
So what you are saying is...they support 99.9% of desktop operating systms. Sounds reasonable to me!

I live in the US and got hooked on that show watching it in clips on the internet. I hear that a US version is in the works, like with "The Office".
