AOL back in the mid 90's allowed you to cancel your account right online? I definately remember cancelling Prodigy and also CompuServe (before AOL bought it) online... wouldnt take more than 5 minutes to do!

Cancelled at the end of your billing period!
Those were the days!
I too was on hold for about 20 minutes... then I was talked into keeping it for another month free... which I said what the hell, but I forgot about it and didnt even use the damn service. So I called to cancel and kept being run around the block until I finally got angry which I dont like to do since I know these reps make shit for money. But enough was enough, told them Im going to contact the BBB if they do not cancel me asap. That did the trick. F-AOL!
Of my beloved Packard Bell P75 running 3.11 for Workgroups with hardly ever crashing..... to upgrading to Win 95 and being introduced to the Blue Screen of Death and even worse happenings of Plug and Pray!
I think I still spent most of my time in Dos with Dark Forces and Duke3d.
Im glad I dont play MMORPGS anymore, it would be too fustrating to have these economies inflate right about the same time I would be able to scrap together enough plat/gold whatever for X. item I wanted/needed.
$300 isnt that bad considering I remember paying much more for the original X-Box, PS1, and if you go way back to the Atari 2600, I think my parents back then paid close to $400 for it.
The games however being 60+ kinda sucks:(
Exactly, why is anyone surprised or appalled by MTV anymore? It's trashy tv which doesn't have anything to do with music, except maybe MTV2 or Hits.... I'll just skip this like I skipped SpikeTV's game awards show...
Now that was an awesome sight when the external tank was jettisoned and seeing Discovery's trajectory go up in angle with the backdrop of the Earth! Just amazing to see!
Exactly, I feel the family has no rights in his email.... and who knows maybe he deletes everything as well, my yahoo box is always empty and I never save anything I send. Not that I have something to hide, but because of habit from having only 5mb space at the time.
Besides affairs, he could have been dabbling in many naughty things, something which would be very devesating to his family. If I want them to know my email business I would certainly leave them my password somewhere, even a text file on the desktop.
A quick visit to suprnova.org lists many screeners and much better digital quality movies that arent handheld captured from a theater. They should look in their own backyard and find out who leaks these movies instead of concentrate on shitty quality handhelds.
He is where is he because he was along for the ride with Gates/Allen.... Although I didnt like that made for TV movie about Apple/MS etc, it did paint Ballmer like an idiot at least!
Nothing seems to be outlined on how to deal with Space Junk. Someone plops down 100k or whatever and the Virgin spaceplane hits a few debris and poof, they get sued by the surviving family members.
If this passes and becomes mandatory, you know who gets the shaft in the end? The people. VoIP companies will blatently use this to pass the buck and probably even moreso than what it will cost to implement the back door all in the name of the dollar. The people get screwed on rates as it is in many cases, here's another to pill to swallow!
I agreed for the most part....
The things that really bothered me about VI were:
In Jabba's palace wasnt the new CGI during the "song".... but I actually thought the old jingle was much better, to me it seemed he tried to backstreet boy it up in the new version.
Same goes for the ending, I didnt enjoy the new music there, but also didnt care much for the ewok's old melody there either.
The addition of the celebration on Coruscant, this is the Empire's capital city... I find it hard to believe there would be celebrations on that scale, sure the Emperor is lost as well as most of the Imperial Navy, but the Empire is huge and im sure had a major presence on the capital homeworld, and thus celebration would have been squashed quickly and brutally.
Im at work now for a pharmacy benefits manager company.... just today in the room I am in (12 people), 2 were let go, another one by end of the month. These are mainframe developers, and a few execs are in India right now for the reason of outsourcing. Tell the unlucky guys who lost their jobs today that IT salaries are on the rise!
As long as aj.com continues to keep "sponsored web results" which look like the "web results" I'll continue to use google, which at least their sponsored results are clearly marked and on the right hand side.

It shouldnt be too surprising... After all the Voyagers are still reporting home 20 years over their life expectancy too! http://voyager.jpl.nasa.gov/

The 360 is going to have a standard dvd player at launch, so wonder what the pricing will be when the HD-DVD version is released...

What exactly is that? Is it like the caulk between tiles? Also perhaps it is normal for those to be dangling, considering no one has ever done this!

He'll be missed by me, I enjoyed Pantera for years. I used to use Pantera music in the background during deathmatching :)

My eyes my eyes! 100% to 0% vision in less than 3 seconds!

Not switching, I'd rather have a crashed browser than one that allows entry into my system!
Yup, MMO! I played in the beta, its pretty fun! The amount of skill sets and developing your player is on par or greater than an RPG.
As Ronald Regan would say!
They never say how fast or dont know, but is it possible in theory that the expansion was faster than light?

Exactly! The only real worry would be if they steered into a tropical storm/hurricane and somehow sank. Then there would be environmental issues.
