Basically what balloonhead is saying is this is Slashdot. Saying fuck, shit, bastard, bitch, ass, damn, and anything else you can think of is perfectly acceptable.
Unless some 12 year old mods you down for saying "words mommy told me were bad".
Flash memory in the form of a GB or even two of SD or compact flash is not really expensive. Maybe a few hundred dollars (Canadian), so it's probably even a bit cheaper.
Many of the game remakes being released by Nintendo are NOT old GameBoy games. Most of them are NES (Zelda I, Mario Bros., etc.) or SNES (Zelda: LttP, Super Mario World, etc.) games, so there's no reason to loose the old GB cartridges.
Do you happen to know some place where I can go and hide until everyone forgot this years stupidest post?
You can join me under this rock over here. Yeah, I'm under here for my post being modded down to hell when it wasn't really all that Trollish (and it certainly wasn't Redundant (as was originally modded), being the second or third (maybe fourth) post -- none of the before ones had any relation to mine).
My original post was, at first, modded down to 0 (from it's starting 1) for redundancy.;-) The only other post at that time was talking about a roommate borrowing it. I guess the moderators are having an off day?
And putting in a PCI or AGP card is really so hard...
I've been doing that sort of stuff since I was 9 or 10... It's really not terribly difficult, especially if it gives you simple directions (and all the needed screws - I hate it when I run out of screws).
The only reason I see for USB TV tuners is for laptops or other machines without the ability to add something internally.
So why not use them? OS X is easy to use, sure, but it's BSD under the hood, so it has more than enough to play with.;-) Believe me, I know -- OS X user for almost a year (Linux was my main OS before that - I still use Linux for a small IRC server and some other minor projects).
Those were an animated series, along with it's twin series following C-3PO and R2-D2's earlier adventures (a few years before ANH).
I saw a couple episodes on video when I was younger (like 5-6), and they were pretty cool. Not violent or anything, but just something you'd watch if you wanted to occupy yourself with something really light-hearted.
I don't think you know what you're talking about. Drug use is not legal here. Marijuana is still illegal, although there have been thoughts of decriminalizing it, which is completely different from making it legal.
Decriminalizing it basically means the users (of marijuana) who are caught with small amounts (I can remember the exact amount) don't face charges and/or possibly jail time. It's the drug dealers who get hit.
You mean the annoying flash-based ones I seem to find on all too many articles, including this one? Yeah, it was the one that popped up when I loaded it...
Yeh, talk about irony...
And even more ironic is the fact that when I click "Get the facts" on it it simply refers me to Microsoft's main Canadian page. No facts in sight.
If I had mod points, you'd be getting an Insightful from me.
At first glance this seems like Flamebait (and someone modded it as such - which has promtly been turned to Funny), but it's actually very true, sadly enough. Of course it does have a satrical side to it as well.
It's quite sad, the state of the world when the government of the most militarily powerful country in the world basically says "fuck you" to, most of, the rest of the world. Likewise it's sad when a giant corporation has as much power in the world as it has money.
Most teenagers are more interested in a)how they are going to get laid, b)how they are going to get drunk.
Personally, I'm not... But I suppose many people I'm around in school are.
But of course I already know how to treat computers, having used Linux since the age of ten. Unlike most of my classmates who throw their laptops around, download free, closed-source software like CometCursor and the like, and who don't have firewalls. I got a hold of one of my classmate's IPs before, and guess what? Connected to port 445 AND/OR 139 with smbclient. And was in.
(Yes, I am a teenager, 14 years of age, nearing 15.)

Funny how I see so many opinion based posts get modded up as Insightful or Interesting.

We go off and shoot a beaver or two (or moose, if that's more your thing) and then trade them...
:P)

But luckily it will be worth something in a few hundred years if it keeps going the way it is!

But this is far from making it legal.

You mean they actually do that?
The Star Wars version voted for was the one where Greedo never pulls the trigger.
At least I hope scientists have more sense than to vote for that Greedo-shoots-first crap.

Which would cost you several thousand dollars of legal fees for Windows.
;)
Or $699 to be able to use Linux with SCO's authorization. But since you're pirating Windows, lets just assume you wouldn't care about this either.

Ahh, come on, every Mac OS X user loves a good Safari.
Why don't we all just use our GPG keys as our passports (basically)? Seriously, it'd be better than the system currently in place...
If it runs NetHack I'd buy one...
And make sure they know it'll be dark and they have to bring lots of candles. And matches. And oil lamps.
And just to be safe, have a plane fly overhead and drop a flare.
