    I don't know anyone who ordered SuSE Pro 9.2 either (thanks to torrents).

    Thanks to torrents, I was able to check it out a little more thoroughly than with the live version. So I went ahead and purchased the full version. Mainly to get the installation support and also the nice manuals. Also to get the DVD as I haven't got around yet to purchasing a DVD burner of my own.

    it appears to be an rpm wrapper... that requires java 1.5 of all things, and currently only works on the Java Desktop from Sun...

    And there was me thinking it was going to download the source for the game and compile it using gcc... oh, "gcc" stands for Global Computer Corporation...

    sends short pulses of collimated visible light out from the front of the auditorium. Any lenses will retroreflect and the software in the system will work out what are ordinary spectacles (one or two lenses in an assembly) and what are cameras (several lenses cemented together (usually more than two)). That way, as it is using visible light, filtering it will affect the picture.

    Doing it with audio is even easier to bypass. All you need is two recordings from seperate theaters to compare against.

    They claim it's immune to that...

    The printer has a lock and the only time in 18 months I was allowed to print something, the key was in Japan with the boss promising a demo of things not implemented yet for tomorrow.

    isn't worth the paper it's printed on... for one, you've got to keep your original receipt... and secondly, the only remedy you get when the disc fails is a replacement blank disc... whatever was on the disc and has gone is gone... they won't compensate you for the loss of the data at all. So if it's the disc with the baby pictures on it and it was the only disc with them on and they've gone... tough.

    IE doesn't cost vendors... they make money from support calls. Why else do you think they keep you hanging on the line so long only to tell you to re-boot, re-install the app or re-install the OS...

    Spamming, or fraud. IIRC, they were actually found guilty of committing fraud. The fact that they spammed peoples mailboxes to find "easy marks" is by the by... Fraud is Fraud... and it carries a hefty punishment.
