If only Noah and his immediate family survived the flood, then how did we get so many races of people without evolution in such a short period of time?
If you were using a well updated filter set, then you wouldn't have suffered anything... unless you'd not blocked flash... All I got was an annoying flash video... no other adverts or pop-ups at all.
I use filterset.G updater with Adblock plus... works a treat... http://www.pierceive.com/
Microsoft are the real owners of the SGI OpenGL patents and are blocking this entire show by insisting on those anti-GPL RAND terms for the licensing... not SGI...
that last is is a doozy... they want $99 for a one page article...
Microsoft has nVidia over the certification barrel... if they make the nv driver support 3D, then nVidia may find it very difficult to get their windows drivers certified... they're having enough problems at the moment...
I'd like to see those oil companies that are having their licenses "legally" stolen via sham courts sabotage the well heads... I do not want to see Putin and his cronies get their hands on the assets without having to drill for it themselves...
you can freely play the tune... only the words are copyright, the tune is public domain... which is madness really as the words are useless on their own... Frankly, I blame the corporations for getting their sticky paws into the mess by extending the terms of copyright, those words should have passed into the public domain a long time ago... I'd like to see a redress of the length of the term... 25 years for the composition and 15 for the performance... that should encourage the performers and composers to keep performing and composing and not to sit back on their arses collecting the royalty checks...
they'll be too busy watching the blockbusters that are stacked up for showing over the next few weeks... the only way to get a real audience would be to show it before the main feature or else in primetime on the main channels... but there's no way the main broadcasters would shift their soaps for that... 'tis weird that the really good programmes get shown opposite the cruddy soaps...
it's not the community speaking... it's the microsoft shills pretending to be Linux users and dissing any real attempt to get Linux desktops to the massess
Microsoft subsidise Dell for putting the "Dell recommends Windows Vista" banner on all their product pages... it's called market development funds and it's how Microsoft got around the no discriminatory deals with OEMs part of the DOJ judgement... Microsoft has to market it at the same price per unit to all OEMs... they just get around it by paying market development funds on a points system... you get points for only selling windows or bundling microsoft software... you don't get points if you sell other OS products or bundle competing products like wordperfect etc.
my daughter ran up a £250 pound bill one month ringing and texting her friends... the phone was removed from her and she was given a pay as you go one instead... with a strict £10 a month limit... If she ran out in any month, she had to either wait for the next month, or put credit on her phone herself out of her own money...
this happened back in 1999... talk about old news...
I roast on the stove top using an old pan and a wooden spoon... I like to have total control over the process... the popcorn popper is a bit hit and miss as you have to do trial runs to determine the correct time for your preferred roast. On the stove top you can actually see and hear the beans roast and stop at the right colour...
If it galls you so much, then why do you even buy a machine with Windows preloaded in the first place?
tried buying one without lately??? in a high street shop??? not possible... yes, I could have built them, but I needed them right now and the pre-assembled box with tft monitor and the laptop were far cheaper than I could have built for myself... (they were on clearout the weekend before Vista hit the shelves). Secondly, have you ever tried buying a laptop without an OS on it??? Tried building a laptop for yourself from off the shelf components???
It's also important to note that there are no figures on how many of those upgrade certificates have been cashed in for an actual copy of Vista. Which means that the number of installed Vista Desktops could be a mere fraction of the 40 million unit number that Microsoft is providing.
apparently I may account for two of those, although I have never actually registered for my two upgrades to be sent to me... Microsoft still got to count two as having been sold to the OEM... I bought to new machines at the end of January deliberately to avoid Vista... I wiped XP off both of them and put Ubuntu on them... it galls me that Microsoft still gets to count them...
he'll never be able to appear in the US, someone will just have him added to the do-not-fly list... after all, he's got a foreign sounding name... that's enough for a start...
I'd take part if I could actually install it..., but the project has stalled and there's been no new alpha release for nearly a year... come on guys, you need to do builds far more often...
I'm not exactly on cutting edge hardware either...
that's all we want... the current list of supported x86 hardware is ridiculously small... oh and put some effort into Gnu/Solaris... that project has effectively stagnated for ages now and nothing appears to be happening...
the more unpleasant they make it, the more people will go to the p2p sites instead... what you want to watch, basically when you want to watch it... and none of the crappy adverts or stupid digital restrictions on how you can watch it...
Basically mr. anonymous coward "businessman", if you don't like the license, don't use it.

the emergency button for when mom walks in... quickly closes the browser window and brings up a minimised screen...
check out Linux MCE... far more powerful and sits nicely over existing linux distros. See the nice review here
sounds like Dell are hiding their Ubuntu models in a similar fashion...

no, scan them and post pdf's of the scan on torrent and usenet... that way, you keep the notation on the staves intact...
