I can see it now, dying and going to hell. Being there for three hours, and just when you punishment is about to start *pop*. You flash back into the mortal world. Heh, suckers.
Last Friday I picked up a Palm VIIx with folding keyboard for $50 CDN. This is my fist PDA and am very happy with it. With 8 MB memory, I don't forsee a problem with filling it up with text anytime soon. Although this PDA is 4 years old and has a vestigual antenna for Palm.Net (which doesn't exist anymore), it serves my purposes very well, especially with the keyboard. It was $600 four years ago, so I was pleased to pick it up at a fraction of the cost. I bought it at XS Cargo, and they are sold out now, but things like this might come up again so keep your eyes peeled.
This is perhaps the case in the US where a significant portion of the legal system is occupied by marijuana offences. In Canada, however, where there is less marijuana related prosecution, the government stands to gain huge sums from the legalization and taxing of it.
But you're right, the main reason why it is still illegal is because of economics. The lobbying done by alchohol, oil and forestry groups is where most of the US's info about the plant comes from.:P
It's a consensus that no brain cells are killed from the ingestion of marijuana, it will impare learning, but what do you expect when you're stoned? After a period of time of not using it, IQ levels and intelligence goes right back to normal levels. The only emperical evidence of brain damage comes from an experiment with monkeys where they were administered with 200x the normal amount. Check this out:

Yeah, Primus VIOP is only $20/m when whith Telus it's at leas $30/m for basic service. Plus you can have a extra line for $4 extra that you can place anywhere in Canada. So even though I live in Edmonton I could have a local number in Toronto that I could make local calls to there from. Also people could call me on that line locally and it would ring here in E-town.
I don't think it's a fad, this year I am getting VIOP from Primus Canada. Finally I can say "screw Telus" because I am getting cable Internet from Shaw and phone through Primus. It's a good feeling.
The worst 'accident' I had was letting people know I had a kick ass computer. There is absolutely no data recovery when you computer is stolen and it's not physically there anymore.
If something could get me out of bed and awake I would be very grateful to the person who invented it. I mean, I can get out of bed, but I always give in to temptation (the urge is just too strong) and go back to sleep. I need something like George Jetson has to get him going in the morning. A no-way-in-hell your going back to sleep device.
I don't know about that. Havn't you seen the 'Tate to Tate'? Its a big people carrier jet boat that is really quite fast, especially for its size. This boat is certianly going faster than 4.8 MPH. The boat goes from the old Tate to the new Tate Modern.
How long until the River Thames gets congested with these amphibious boats? If there were lots of these boats trying to use the river, things would get messy quickly, especially because of the lack of laws. The river would get congested and be just as bad as the roads in no time.
But it still would be fun!
I am always presented with the problem of organization with MP3 CDs. With so much on one disk, I don't know where to look for what I want, and I get an 'information overload feeling'.
I have been impressed with Toyota's tack record in terms of innovation. Energy friendly cars were just the beginning, now integrating technology like this into cars will really make them sell. A far cry from what is being done with American and European cars (exept for the energy part).
This year the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada is offering a course on how to write virii. The reason for this is that they think that knowing how to write one will help people write software to protect against them.
I've been looking at bike light lately and I must say that the LED ones are quite impressive. Only three LEDs can compare with a normal bike light bulb, and the new models coming out are going to have five. And the fact that the LED lights 'burn' for about 100 hrs where a bulb would go for about 3.5hrs, makes LED lights very, very attractive.

I don't think that anyone says that marijuana destroys the brain besides the US governmnet, and these guys.
It will be a couple more months before the deadline passes that voip providers in Canada have a 911 service. http://voip.weblogsinc.com/entry/1234000930038950/
whoops, cancel that "it uses 3 cameras" part, I don't know how that got in my head.
Shouldn't that be: Image Analysis Software/Technology that Sees through Smoke and Fog Underway it uses 3 cameras

Some may disagree, but at least in the near future, as far as e-mail is concerned - 1 GB will more than suit 97% of the webmail users out there.
Just like you'll never need more than 640k of RAM?
Well, he has a point, with the amount of pubs in London, imagine how many drunk messages will get posted.

You forgot one: -FUN! Imagine all the fun things to do with it. Deaming up ideas like "lets use it to terrorize the neighbors annoying dog".

Isn't the patriot act just for the US?
But it does print the screen, maybe not to paper, but to the clipboard. Its how I take screenshots all the time.
Everything is turned into a rust colour?
Shore? On the Thames in London, there is no shore, its all built up around the sides. You would have to drive out of town to get to a shore.
