I use both evolution and Thunderbird. It all depends on which computer I happen to be sitting in front of at the time. I use Thunderbird on my Mac and Evolution for a couple of Linux machines. I just think it would ice the cake of Thunderbird of they ever added filter options to Thunderbird. A lot of people would be happier knowing that could control the spam level via a personal client.

In a location such as where I am, we have dsl but it has to be the worst connection I've ever had in terms of stability. daily drops in the 20s and 30s. Random and sporadic. i think this is due to poor local equipement and local capacity for heavy usage. Who knows if the outer lying areas will ever have the luxury of more than a 2-300k up/down link for bandwidth.

If you look at the other contries that the US has been compared with, there are far more cetralized, dense populations being taken in to account. Per capita in Tokyo, I'm sure internet usage is way up, but if you get to the out lying regions I'm sure it dwindles greatly.

or consider this simple fact, the government is just doing their job. they've never had to tell you before that they were just doing their job. so why, in the name of protecting passengers in flight, is it such a big issue to screen passenger records before said flights?

you people seem to have it all backwards, scream and scream about not enough information being handed back and forth to keep the people who matter informed about potential terroists taking flight, but when that information reaches their hands, you scream and scream about privacy issues. grrrr.

i recently picked up my second mac. a powerbook G4, 550. the trackpad was driving me nuts so i wanted to get a mouse. I went to the local dealer and seemingly all they had to offer was single button mice. I began to dig further on the rack and found the LAST two button/wheel mouse they had. When i asked why they didn't have any more of a selection, i was told that mac users hate mutli-button mice. I was confused. how have people survived without 'right-click' or scrolling wheels? instead, with single button mice, one must familiar with hotkeys in order to make the mouse function like any other mouse. So if a person needs to commit all of that to memory, what's the trouble with condensing that knowledge in to two simple buttons and a wheel?
