Thats true. For some reason i was thinking only along the lines of a massive truck bomb using that specific type of fertilizer to destroy a whole building or something. Too early to be smart, i guess.
Hey, it sounded airtight and insightful in my head. Until now.
The federal election committee, designed to help states with elections supposedly to prevent another florida debacle, asked the justice department whether or not they can delay an election during a terrorist attack. On 9/11 there was some sort of an election in NYC, a mayoral primary or something, not sure, but after the attacks they were cancelled. OF course this is unconstitutional because elections have always been state matters. I'm not sure how well intentioned the question was, or how high it goes in the administration, but there were no laws passed.
Well, to get the amount of fertilizer necessary to make this sort of bomb, i believe there is someone whose job it is to notice. Isn't the FBI supposed to check out farming operations that require a certain amount of this type of fertilizer?
Personally, i can't afford to buy games i don't plan on buying. And most of the time, i feel games aren't long enough, but maybe i only buy good games? Couldn't say really.
Soo instead of the government forcing me to do stuff it'll be my neighbors. And because the laws not written, i have no recourse. Take that Hammurabi! But i suppose we'll worry about that after we fundamentally change the human mind.
Sorry, i meant for president, probably should have mentioned that. and our house and senate are overwhelmingly democratic too. i guess MA just prefers a republican governor.
I dont know, i paid 6 bucks for tetris, and haven't looked back yet. Granted, i am a tetris freak. its practically the reason i bought a GBA, that and mario kart. So they're probably marketing it more towards me and my ilk than anyone else.
Ah, so he majored in Hard Drive Design in college, eh?
I think that this guy must have some other kind of managerial/technological skills that aren't limited to hard drives. He should have read his contract more thoroughly, if Seagate is seeking this contract because of a non compete clause. If there is no such clause, then this probably wont hold up in court.
Was anyone else surprised at how good the image quality was on the PSP? I mean, i've heard about how powerful it was and that it's essentially the same as the PS2, etc. but i really hadn't believed it. At first i thought the GBA SP would still reign over the PSP for me, but after seeing this, i'm not so sure. The idea of playing a real console game while i'm walking around is pretty cool.
first of all this isn't a law or something, its an article discussing it. or does the poster suggest that the government being allowed to subpeona email is a violation of our civil rights?
Well who says that existing programmers will be the ones to work these assembly lines? Couldn't traditional menial laborers be retrained for non innovative coding? just learning how to make some small part of an application? any shift in the way you make software would have to mean a shift in the mentality of the poeple who make the software. the quickest way to do that is to change the people themselves.
It could work, but only on a limited basis. They could probably make junk applications, things that don't really need very much polish on them. Maybe programs that would only be used for a small period, and not necessarily for a large market.

You're both right, really. take for example the presidential debate (i think it was nixon and kennedy, not completely sure) which was the first to be broadcasted both on TV and Radio. Radio listeners thought nixon won, tv watchers thought kennedy did. So while the medium isnt the message per se, it can affect perception of the message, which is nearly the same.
I dont know about the rest of the USA, or the world for that matter, but this game cost me 58 bucks tax included. Thats 5-10 bucks more than most brand new games lately. My question is, is gamestop gouging me because they knew that i'd pay the extra 5 bucks because its Doom 3 and i have to have it, or is it Id? Frankly i was really surprised at the bill for this one, and so was my friend. Then again we both proceeded to buy it, so, well...fuck you Id, or game stop, or the whole industry.
As for the game itself, all i can say is wow. For once a game has lived up to its hype, so far. good graphics, awesome gameplay and atmosphere.
Talk about the greatest adventure. These types of things always make me wonder whether or not i'd go even if i knew i would die. Probably not for just the moon, but maybe to see the solar system or another star or for the chance to meet an intelligent people out there somewhere.
I guess that I agree with the ideology of adventure, huh?
Same thing. Whenever i tried to log on, or was already logged in automatically, i got the 503. Same thing in Firefox, IE, and Safari on another computer.
Well, if i've learned anything from Johnny Five, it's that lighnting is made of souls.

IF that helps at all in the search for accidental AI. Err...indirectly...i guess...

I was curious about that too, i can't get any bitTorrents to work, or is that an unrelated problem that i'm having?
Sorry, i meant for president, probably should have mentioned that. and our house and senate are overwhelmingly democratic too. i guess MA just prefers a republican governor.
Amen. I wish i lived in a state where my vote actually mattered, as opposed to MA where democrats always win, no matter the candidate.
That said, i'm voting Kerry. why take unnecessary risks?

hmmm. makes sense actually. US is the only one demanding it, so they're the only ones who have it exacted back on them. thanks for the explanation.
