Claim N on your W4, pay up at the end of the year. (N = ridiculous hyperbole of an integer) IANATL, but AFAIK theres nothing illegal about putting a false amount on your W4 as long as you don't fudge it on your 1040. Good luck.
I don't fully understand your situation. If you were only working somewhere for two days, or a week, or similar.. you'd receive a 1099, not a W2. There are no tax withholdings in a 1099'd ("subcontractor") position. I, like many of us, have been self-employed for years and am more than familiar with this mess. Please explain your situation so that I can better help.
How do you prevent cache poisoning? The system you propose would have to work something like BitTorrent. How do you determine who's authoritative? With BitTorrent, no one is "authoritative" on a single torrent. There still has to be a trusted "seed" (the root servers). DNS has to remain centralized in SOME sense in order to work. It is already largely decentralized in the sense that you can use any ISPs nameservers and get the same generally reliable data.
You're patiently waiting for the first image to load, since the balloon has moments ago reached an altitude at Mars suitable for imagery. 4 hours after it downloads the first 1MP image, you realize that putting the wing IN BETWEEN YOU AND THE SURFACE was a bad idea.
The robotic StratoSail will have a stabilizing wing suspended several miles below it.
I realize all of your points, and agree with the majority of them. However, it's important to note that for whatever reason, in the local news here, several stories are about violence/gang activity at these cafes. These cameras/guards aren't about spying on you using the net, but about curtailing gang activity. Installing security cameras/personnel was the alternative to closing them all. We should be applauding this city for not having a knee-jerk reaction and shutting down all of them. Yes, I know. I've opened up an onslaught of +5, Funny's involving gangs and the internet. Enjoy.
1) I know bit/byte.;)
2) Both ends are set to 54mbit. The PC side usually indicates its connected at ~24mbit.
3&4) No other wireless hardware. It's a warehouse with nothing around. No wireless phones, or anything else 2.4GHz either.
Thanks for the suggestions though.:)
My D-Link AP and my Laptop with the matching D-Link card (both AirPlus series) sit on the desk next to each other. Nearly touching. I can't get a 1/3rd of the speed on the box. What do you call optimal?
PO Boxes are expensive and only accept USPS mail. I have a box at The UPS Store, formerly MailBoxes Etc. It accepts mail from any service, and they will even hold UPS/FedEx packages for me (ones that obviously don't fit in my box.) One large advantage, IMO, is that it allows me to put my address as "12345 Culver Dr. #A144". This looks like an office suite, instead of a PO Box. YMMV. Good luck.
I didn't see the advertisement disclaimer on that graph at first, then when it was animated (obviously flash), I started thinking to myself.. that doesn't seem Linux-esque. Otherwise, I saw that Linux had a bigger bar and it was a pretty red color. So it must be better. Thanks Microsoft.
We, as the most experienced internet users, have already gone through the peak of 15.8 hours per day and now LOATHE computers.;) I'm thinking this study only includes hobby time or something? I'm on the intarweb 6*8/week at least.
I had these when I was growing up, along with legos. They're called Capsella. I was surprised that: A) I could remember their name. B) They're still around. These things are modular in that you can connect them in any configuration, and they have several specialty parts like fans, props, gears, tires, etc. Consider these for your son if he's old enough. I found this on Google.
Might not be far off.

Eh, your employer(s) fill out & mail your W2(s). You fill out a 1040.

This hardly seems the proper forum to ask for help with venereal disease.
Neat.
Maybe he used the IE6 bug. You DID patch, right? ;)

This the only non-sub-required article I could find.
Three +5s in 7 minutes.
Btw, this isn't going to help out your meta-moderating situation much.

buddyBridge is a social networking site (a la Friendster) that has blogging capabilities. And it's stable.
charged with keeping the Kingdom secure. ;) FP?
Did they take your stapler, too?
When they traveled in the mid 1600s, they already knew there was oxygen where they were heading, Columbus had been there and back. Apples to oranges.

You KNOW you're totally unknown when you can pull off playing two different characters in a series, and no one notices for decades.
All 3 of the [relevant] pics there don't work anymore. Seems the MPAA has already.. Erased him.
What Seinfeld episode is this supposedly from? I've never seen it. Googled, too- no results.

Did they try T-Fal? Maybe they should spray some Pam.
