I'm going to get modded OT for this, but don't want to post AC. Kudos to you for posting a response to this FUD, and promptly at that. Too often people from the dev teams sit back as the idiots on here flame their products. Winamp is an excellent product, and I've been using it since 1.xx. I even tried 3 (shudder ;). Keep up the good work, guys.

P.S. More kudos for removing AOD ;)

    Colin,
I'm generally a fan of every post of yours I've read, but I find this to be a poor analogy. This would only be correctly analogous if once someone contracted AIDS (HIV, but I digress), they died immediately. This is the type of situation Stewart is referring to. Once affected, a machine can't propagate. (As per his quote, I don't know the details of this worm) When a person is HIV positive, they can still propagate HIV->AIDS.

I think this is a great opportunity for Yahoo to start properly marketing and advertising their site, and come up with some model that makes it less prone to fraud than eBay/PayPal. Perhaps Yahoo could partner with an online "bank" the way eBay did with PayPal, and eliminate our PayPal *AND* eBay problems in one shot. Lets get some response to this, and maybe Yahoo will do something.
