    Cassini will be going about as fast as it's ever gone in it's entire trip when it's going through the rings. I doubt it's cameras can track the rings at that speed.

    The rings are only a couple km thick at most, it'll be through in less than a second since Cassini will be travelling at about 20,000km/h at the time.

    Actually, for the orbital insertion manuver, Cassini is actually going to be flying THROUGH the rings, I think they're going through the Cassini division, one of the larger "gaps" in the ring system.

    XP is usable with 128MB?? you've got to be kidding.

    Unless you REALLY only run ONE app at a time, and I mean not even IM programs while you're using iE, XP will swap like CRAZY. don't even try to load office unless you plan to go grab a cup of coffee while it loads. but then, that's what people used to do back when we all had 386s and Windows 3.1, so what's wrong with that right??

    actually, the only reason they removed bluetooth from the TH55 was because it didn't pass FCC regulations with it built-in in the states. the European version has bluetooth, as with the Japanese version.

    The Space Shuttle is the same class of heavy lift launcher as the Saturn V actually. The only thing is, most of the power goes to lifting the shuttle itself, rather than the tiny Apollo capsule.

    only effect on security banning spyware could have is to IMPROVE it. fucking spyware. sick of removing it from people's computers. it might affect computer sales tho. With no more spyware on their computers, newbies will be able to get by with a much slower machine. The loads of spyware make people complain that their 2.4Ghz P4 isn't fast enough and help sell the 3.2s etc, so that even with it's bogged down by spyware it still feels like a 2.0

    the spokes are perpendicular dark bands spanning the ring from the inner ones to the outer ones. the gaps between the rings are divisions, unrelated to the spokes.

    not only is the 5th a tie breaker, it was apparently designed and programmed by a completely separate company from the other 4, to make sure that there was no possible way that a common fault in the 4 GPCs would affect the 5th one if it came to that.

    Whatever. All OSes have their inherent problems, but next month, when Microsoft racks up another suit of deathly insecure vulnerabilities, OS X will probably be fixed and free from defects for another couple of months.
    free of KNOWN defects. It's not a defect until someone finds it. But that doesn't mean that it's defect free.
