I'm kind of struck by the fact that Interplay actually sold the rights to Fallout, when they had already sold the license a couple years ago. This kind of sounds like they don't have the funds to work on their Massive online version. Could this be a desperate move for some quick cash? I doubt that we will ever see that Fallout Online version. More than likely, Interplay will fold like a deck of cards. Shame really...
I could not agree more! David Tennant did a great job, but Eccelson was incredible. He had real chemistry with Billie, while Tennant and Piper just never felt quite right. I was actually relieved when she got herself trapped in the alternate universe.

This does happen a lot actually. I've received several emails from people asking why they can't access any of the files. And for every person that emails, I'm sure there are 5 that don't. I haven't really tried anything else at this point because I don't have a lot of time to devote to the site. If only there was more etiquette on the Net... heck in the world.
I'm a bit torn here, for while I think that lawsuits over this issue are a bit over the top, I do have some sympathy for SFX. I fight leeches and deep linkers from Myspace all the time. They will deep link to audio files on my site, sometimes 10 clips at a time, and have them autoplay every time someone visits their profile. As you can imagine, this sucks the bandwidth right out of my site. I've had to resort to referrer logging so I don't have a huge bill at the end of the month.
Still a lawsuit seems unnecessary, especially when there are countermeasures out there that work well.
The gap is widening because trailers aren't available without a gold account? Overblown don't you think? When they start to limit the games you can play, then I think we can have this conversation.
Actually most studies show that the more affluent you are, the less likely you are to have a lot of children. Typically wealthy people have far less kids than poorer ones.
Perhaps it is our inner fear of death that makes us love sequels. As long as the story continues, our hero or heroine, will live forever in our minds. This might possibly negate the feeling of our own impending doom as we sit in the theater.
On the other hand, there are those sequels where we wish death would visit us before the end of the movie. So in conclusion, who knows really.
It's not often you see a huge business choose to be "open" like this with the patent process. Especially considering how many business make patent trolling their main money maker. However, while it is rather commendable, I fear that it may hurt them in the long run. Most opposing companies will not be so benevolent. After all, the nice guys always lose...
That really isn't that unusual, depending on the item your selling.
At my place of employment, we sell high priced bath items. More often than not our Overture (now Yahoo) price per click is around 3 to 4 dollars, especially during the holiday season. Since the product's profit margin is typically high, the price-per-click is pretty reasonable. Especially since those kind of clicks usually generate sales (unless they are fraudulent of course).
Can't think of anything better!

One of the best parts of Battlefield Vietnam was being able to blow away enemy tanks and napalm helpless infantry with Van Halen blaring away on the speakers! Why would the real world be any different?
I would love to walk more. The problem is that I live 35 miles from work. England is a small island. America spans an entire continent. One thing we have here in America that you do not have in the UK is SPACE. This is another reason why we use more oil than you do. Space just another cultural difference between us and you in the "old country".

Actually a legitimate company wouldn't have to purchase the .xxx domain as long as they have the trademark. All they have to do is sue.
Soylent Green wasn't "about" people, it IS people!

I just renewed my subscription today, not 3 hours before seeing this post. I hope I can get my money back.
I dare anybody to do that once a month on the Windows machine
So does this mean that if we do take him up on his dare, we won't be prosecuted if we succeed?
This is probably a bad sign, but when I first glanced at this /. entry and saw SO, I thought they were talking about Search optimization.
I thought so as well, though it looked like it was an overdose of Botox, not digital effects. Either way, it really was disturbing.
I loved the 25th Anniversary and Judgment Rites as well. In fact I still play them from time to time using DOSBox.

The Earth will forget us until it needs us to destroy an asteroid that is hurtling towards it.

I think I saw this movie.
Ahh but the question is, do we want to see this government in action??

Don't forget the underwear on the head and two pencils up the nose (in combination with 'wibble')!
That sucks, I just renewed my subscription...
He would probably get sued for copyright infringement if he did... oh wait...
