Since this obviously isn't gonna work, I have a new plan.
Drag any politician supporting this bill out to the streets. Explain them why they're wrong. Shoot them in the face. Birdshot should work fine for the first time. If that doesn't work, use.45.
Incredible, a single joke managed to turn the whole thread into a giant waste of time for IgnoramusMaximus.
Well, at least judging from the logic (and general quality) of arguments in his comments, we are not distracting a productive member of society from creating something of any significant value.
In the whole state? I was aware that of the "community standard" stuff, but I didn't think it applied to the whole states. If that's the case, then you're right, I'm wrong.
Remember when the first story about Aperture appeared, any criticism was silenced by apple fanboys with "It's the first version, so it's ok that it doesn't really work!"? Well, now looks like it was so fucked up that they'll have to rewrite a large part of the code.
>Movies and Books/Magazines, on the other hand, have already been restricted
No, there is no law restricting the sales of movies, books or magazines. It would be unconstitutional, just like this one. Not that this ever stopped a law from being passed or enforced...
> That's right, all that cable, we paid for it with our money..our tax dollars..now they want to continue to be greedy and get more from the government and the people.
Ok, then these companies payed for the roads, courts, and schools you use, and so should be alowed to decide what you do with them.
>Personally, I would welcome a state-backed debit card.
That's just way too scary.
If government-approved cash goes away, nothing prevents you from using another currency, different debit cards, or even precious metals. Now if the government starts issuing its own card, it will very quickly gain a dominant position (no fees) and then you won't have much choice at all.
>[...] out of private hands and into a publically accountable body.
Ha ha, now I see you're joking and my post is pointless:)
You need money, property, markets, investment, etc
Yes, these are needed, but not a single of these items comes from the government. I mean, in general. Nowadays, of course, the government has its claws everywhere.

So, he's a slut?
The absence of $1000 360s on ebay only means there's no shortage, and says nothing about overall supply or demand.
Really, why would one buy it for price above retail from some shady punk on ebay when it's available in a store across the street?
They're all on the PC. Exhibit 1, Exhibit A. Ok, they're not from WWII, but that just makes them better, doesn't it ;)

just to piss him off, if his point was to show that it's wrong to charge for photos.
Well I hope at least the enemies won't have walkie talkies instead of weapons...
Ok, how exactly does an ipod play streaming music?

Yeah, because fp performance is what's really important for home users.
N/T

Scientists have known that cells in different parts of the brain react to attributes such as color, taste, quantity", or sexual orientation!
10GB? Lame, that's barely enough for my Frank Zappa MP3s.
And what about wireless?
Really? Where's the crack for Splinter Cell: Chaos Theroy then?
... in England!
I'm sure the lawyers of the future would be eager to pay good money for them.
I refuse to support your nominee, and instead suggest....
Washington, DC
... and nobody is telling you what you can and cannot buy for you, or for your child.
Unless, of course, you're under 18, like I was about 1.5 years ago.
Maybe now they will be forced to release a nocd version of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory so I can finally put the 4GB image to some use ;)
