Go RTFA. From the article: "A row of people all wearing the same logo at an Olympic venue - hoping to get on television - might be ambush marketing on a small scale." [...] "The measures were aimed at "groups drawing attention to themselves" they said.
I don't like this, but mainly they want to prevent lets say Pepsi from paying 20 people in the front row to hold a huge Pepsi flag or something. At least I hope that's the idea.
"Sandbox" is also often used to describe the environment in which Java (and others) run.

Interesting, but I'd say capitalism works because it relies on human greed. Communism failed because it was/is inefficient, which somebody "greedy" would not tolerate.

Right now Opera uses about 70MB of RAM with 6 tabs open. But the reason for such memory usage is that Opera uses memory as cache, which is why going back/forward is instant. You can change (or disable) this in preferences.
Offtopic, I know, but I didn't start it! A serious security flaw was discoverd in versions of Opera prior to 7.53, probably cross-platform. Allows read access to filesystem (including mail, cookies, etc) read more here
Because if they just decreased the price for the regular XP and sold it only in Asia, everybody would be bitching why they don't reduce the price everywhere if it's the same software. I can imagine a/. story: "YRO: OMFG software censorship!!"
In a true free market they can sell their products at whatever prices and conditions both sides agree on. And imagine if Intel goes out of business now. AMD's a monopoly on x86 processors, there goes competition.
Is there a higher quality version of the DOOM3 theme song somewhere? At 30kbps it's really a pain to listen to.
As to the game itself, I was rather dissapointed of the style, but still I'd say it's a good game. The beginning of Delta1 was nice, it's actually the only level which freaked me out. Also I usually hate boss battles, but the final boss was just way too easy.
I don't see a problem with what he did. Actually I think it's great. How many livers did he use? One. How many poeple he reminded that there are patients waiting for organs? Millions, and all of them but one could donate their organ(s) to somebody else. Benefit to society = millions - 1
Zalman makes quiet power supplies, but there are also silent power supplies, without any fans. Search engines are your friends, here's an example. I think you can get up to 400W, just search.
>How many mp3 players existed before iPod came along?
A lot, both memory and hard drive based. I'd argue that there are better players availible, but this is an apple thread and I'm afraid my asbestos suit won't protect me.
I wasn't talking about customers, but about admins or whoever was running the place. Suggesting somebody who probably never had any experience with linux to set up and manage a network of linux boxes just doesn't sound right to me.
Agree. If they don't want to change the MS or Windows icon, maybe they could change the Linux (or BSD) icon to this? If it's ok to make fun of others, it should also be ok to make fun of ourselves.

A runway incursion protection system (Rips).
Guess they really had to add "system". Too bad, this screwed up an interesting acronym.
>A red and white checkered ball next to a Roman arch
My plain gray teapot will easily pwn your ball no matter what fancy textures you use!
"Sandbox" is also often used to describe the environment in which Java (and others) run.

Fits perfectly.

compared to what? The latest Opera is 3.4 MB

Well you may want to check this out. Not exactly tux fucking a hooker, but still
1) Tux is involved
2) Fucking is involved
Yes, why not? What does one get for contributing to Mozilla/Linix/whatever? I guess in most cases $0, so here even a fraction of a million seems fair.

Security
Windows
It's Funny. Laugh.
in this order.
Funny, Windows, Linux and maybe Security would better represent what the article is about.
>How many mp3 players existed before iPod came along?
A lot, both memory and hard drive based. I'd argue that there are better players availible, but this is an apple thread and I'm afraid my asbestos suit won't protect me.
Hehe, check this out for some interesting and funny stuff.
>Funny. My finger's not tired
Funny, my finger isn't tired either, but my hand is.
Oh...maybe I should stop visiting all those sites mentioned in the emails I get.
I wasn't talking about customers, but about admins or whoever was running the place. Suggesting somebody who probably never had any experience with linux to set up and manage a network of linux boxes just doesn't sound right to me.

Maybe his friends have no Linux/Unix experience?
Switch to Cyrillic alphabet, should win us a few years.
