Last winter I was averaging £100 ($150 approx) a month on electricity and the same again on gas.
That is in a 3 storey, 3 bedroom modern town-house in London. The rent is £400 a month with a housing association. The rent would be at least double or probably triple that if it was with a private landlord. To buy a similar property in my current area I would need to find somewhere in the region of £400,000.
"(I paid £44.99 for Warcraft II as it was the cheapest I could find it at on release!)"
One word, Blizzard. Their games were always more expensive, everyone else was more or less around the £30 mark for a full game and £20 for an expansion.
The first Diablo was the same £45 when everyone else was at £30.
Thanks for all your suggestions guys but I've tried them all. One reason for it may be that even though I'm less than a mile from the exchange the wiring from the exchange to my home can go all round the houses and end up being a couple of miles in actual length, well that was one explanation I was given.
MS-DOS is still Microsoft's property, Microsoft weren't the only Disk Operating System in town, just the most successful.
I reckon having three overclocked Core 2 Duo's running folding@home 24/7 :)
didn't help on the electricity front.

Property prices in London are mental.

"only 16 weeks"
For somebody accused of anything child pornography related, prison is going to be 16 weeks of hell.
My first thoughts when I saw it were of this

"(thanks to cheap gas)"
This is the UK, we don't do cheap gas.
Think yourselves lucky it's equivalent to $1800 here in the UK.

Can't double check (site down) but I'm almost sure you need Legends of Aranna too.
BT is concerned about customers privacy?
They thought SFA about it when they conducted the secret Phorm trials on tens of thousands of their customers.
Not official but...

If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit.
"If you're a Brit, this will come as no surprise"
Well I am a Brit and the Guardian is one of our milder newspapers.
If you want alarmist look at the Daily Mail, The Express, The Sun and The News of The World.
The last two are newspapers in the loosest of terms.
Murdoch against porn?

That rules me out and I live in London and I'm less than a mile from my local exchange.
3776kbps is the best I get on a good day.
Funny thing is, my daughter lives just 3 doors down the street and she gets 8Mb/sec.
Ok, who are the other two?
Wait till both you and your partner have 5 o'clock shadow.
Yes, I have had that experience. Once and only once.
"and wasn't there a jet fighter "sim"?"
Could it be Air Quake?

He/she might have got it if the OP hadn't used caps.
No no, now I will find out your game is crap after somebody else has bought it.
And wouldn't be "Talk Talk" (Carphone Warehouse) that are actually blocking them?
Who needs a cracked version, they'll both be in Game's 3 for £10 bargain bin pretty damn soon by the looks of it.
Oh the irony.
Anti-piracy measures lead to less sales.
"Sound seems broken on half of them though."
Every cloud has a silver lining.
